May 22-1: Norwich City of Ale, Norwich, England

Norwich City of Ale 2014 will be held at more than 40 public houses in the "Fine City" of Norwich. This ten-day celebration kicks off with a Launch Party at St Gregory’s Church. Other events will include beer walks, a Brewers' Market, beer and food pairings, pub quizzes, special tastings, and meet-the-brewer events.

May 30-7: Frederick Beer Week, Frederick, MD

The fourth annual Frederick Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Frederick. The headline event is the Maryland Craft Beer Festival, and Beer Week will close with Beerfest at the Farm. There will be many other events such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

May 30-8: Philly Beer Week, Philadelphia, PA

The seventh annual Philly Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Philadelphia. It traditionally kicks off with the Opening Tap. Other headline events will include the Hammer of Glory Relay and the International Great Beer Expo. There were hundreds of other events including beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

6-8: Hanoverian Beer Festival, Hanover, Germany

The second Hanoverian Beer Festival will be held in Hanover's Altstadt. This three-day event will feature beer from German and international breweries. There will also be musical entertainment, food to pair with the beer, an educational program, and prize drawings. The festival website is entirely in German.

6-7: Omaha Beer Fest, Omaha, NE

Urban Events, Inc., presents the fifth annual Omaha Beer Fest, which will take place at Stinson Park at Aksarben Village in Omaha. The two-day event will feature hundreds of craft beers from around 50 breweries, with brewmasters and brewery representatives on hand. There will also be Beer Academy classes, a Homebrewer Expo, live music, and food for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beer and food, are available for Saturday's session. The festival charity is Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.

7: Brookhaven Beer Fest, Brookhaven, GA

The fourth annual Brookhaven Beer Fest will take place at Apple Valley Park in Brookhaven, behind the MARTA station. This afternoon/evening event will feature more than 150 domestic and imported beers. Two live bands and DJ Suspense are scheduled to perform, and food will be available for purchase. Part of the proceeds will go to the Atlanta Fundraising Foundation.

7: Davis Beerfest, Davis, CA

Citizens Who Care and the Sudwerk Brewing Company present the tenth annual Davis Beerfest, which will take place at the brewery. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 craft beers. Brewers will be in attendance, and festival-goers are invited to tour the brewery. There will also be live music, food for purchase, and a prize raffle. Proceeds benefit Citizens Who Care, which aids the elderly.

7: Great Northern Beer Festival, Eagle River, WI

The 2014 Great Northern Beer Festival will be held on the Festival Grounds at Hi-Pines Campground in Eagle River. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 30 breweries, most of them from Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest, along with home-brewed beer from the local homebrew club. There will be live music, and food will be available for purchase. Proceeds will be given to several local charities.

7: Hop Blossom Craft Beer Festival, Winchester, VA

The second annual Hop Blossom Craft Beer Festival will be held in Winchester's Old Town. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 30 breweries, one-third of which will be from the area. There will also be a homebrew competition and live entertainment. VIP tickets, with early admission and a complimentary buffet, are available. The festival charity is GoodDogz.org, a dog-rescue organization.

7: Mid MO Beer Festival, Mexico, MO

The Knights of Columbus present the inaugural Mid MO Beer Festival, which will take place at Mexico Knights of Columbus Park, one mile north of town. This afternoon event will feature a variety of craft beer, along with live music. All proceeds will go to the Knights' projects and charities.

7: Mountain Brewers Beer Fest, Twin Falls, ID

The North American Brewers Association presents the 20th annual Mountain Brewers Beer Fest. which will take place at Sandy Downs Racetrack in Twin Falls. This afternoon event will feature more than 600 beers from over 80 domestic and foreign breweries, many of them from the Mountain West. The Association's annual judged beer competition will take place in connection with the festival. There will also be live music, food for purchase, a prize raffle, and a live auction. Parking is free. Part of the proceeds will go to several local charities.

7: Mundelein Craft Beer Festival, Mundelein, IL

Mundelein Community Connections and Tighthead Brewing Company present the third annual Mundelein Craft Beer Festival. This afternoon event will take place at the brewery. It will feature beer from Tighthead and around 25 other craft breweries, most of them from Chicago and Illinois. There will also be live music by two live bands, along with food for purchase. The festival is a benefit for the Mundelein Community Connection.

7: Panama City Beach Craft Beer Festival, Panama City, FL

The Fishale Gastro Pub, a beer bar and restaurant in Panama City, will host the 2014 Panama City Craft Beer Festival. This event will feature more than 100 beers from over 40 breweries. There will be live entertainment, and food will be available for purchase.

7: Rotary Club of South Placer Brewfest, Rocklin, CA

The Rotary Club of South Placer presents the sixth annual Brewfest, which will take place at Johnson Springview Park in Rocklin. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 30 craft breweries. There will be live music, and food vendors will be at the festival site. All proceeds will go to the South Placer Rotary Foundation.

7: Sasquatch Brewfest, Eugene, OR

The Northwest Legends Foundation presents the 12th annual Sasquatch Brewfest, which this year moves to a new location, Eugene's Fermentation District. This all-day outdoor event will feature beer from Pacific Northwest breweries, including beers brewed specially for the festival. There will also be a homebrewing contest, live music, food booths, and a silent auction. A beer dinner will take place the evening before the festival. A large portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation.

7: Three Valleys Festival, Dronfield, England

The Sheffield & District Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the Three Valleys Festival, which will take place in Dronfield. Thirteen venues, including suburban community pubs, town centre bars, classic country hostelries, and a farm brewery, are scheduled to take part. The venues will offer a selection of Real Ales, along with music, food for purchase, and other attractions. A free bus will run regularly between all the venues and the Dronfield railway station.

7: Zoo Brew, Santa Barbara, CA

The Santa Barbara Zoo will host its fifth annual Zoo Brew. This afternoon event, which is a fund-raiser for the zoo, will feature tastings from more than 20 breweries, many of them from the Central Coast. There will be a special food menu, and merchandise will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission and complimentary pub-fare appetizers, are available.

11-15: Beerfest Kosova, Pristina, Kosovo

Modus LLC presents the fourth annual Beerfest Kosova, which will take place at Sheshi Zahir Pajaziti in the center of Pristina. This five-day event, which is the first-ever beer festival to have been organized in Kosovo, will feature beer from 18 breweries from Kosovo and other countries in the region. There will also be live bands and DJs, and food from local restaurants. The festival website is entirely in Albanian.

11-15: Mondial de la Biere, Montreal, QC, Canada

The 21st annual Mondial de la Biere will be held indoors at the Palais des Congrès and outdoors on Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle in downtown Montreal. Organizers expect to have about 500 beers from around the world, including hard-to-find beers and with beers specially brewed for the festival. There will also be Quebec cider and other food specialties from the province, and the Mbeer series of conferences and seminars. Admission to the festival is free.

12-15: Beerfest Asia, Singapore

The sixth annual Beerfest Asia will take place at the Marina Promenade, Singapore's Formula 1 track. This four-day event (Thursday's session is trade-only) will feature around 400 beers from all over the world, along with cider, wine, and spirits. The entertainment lineup will include international tribute bands and Singapore and regional bands; a comedy lounge; and fringe activities, including bar games and competitions. VIP tickets, with free-flow beer, are available.

13: Beer and Sake Festival, Valley Center, CA

The Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana presents the 12th annual Beer and Sake Festival, which will take place at a new venue, the Events Center at Harrah’s Rincon San Diego North in Valley Center. This evening event will feature a wide variety of Japanese sakes and beers, local craft beers, appetizers from local restaurants, and entertainment by ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro and San Diego Taiko. VIP tickets, with a special selection of sakes and appetizers, are available. Proceeds will support the society's educational and community outreach programs.

13: Friday the Firkenteenth, Philadelphia, PA

Friday the Firkenteenth, held at the Grey Lodge in Philadelphia, is a Friday the 13th tradition that dates back to 1998. A total of 30 or more firkins of cask-conditioned beer will served in two tasting sessions. This is the only known beer event in the world whose frequency and timing are entirely at the mercy of the calendar.

13-14: Session Craft Beer Festival, Toronto, ON, Canada

The fourth annual Session Craft Beer Festival will be held at a new location, Young and Dundas Square in downtown Toronto. This two-evening event will feature beer from more than 100 beers from over 30 Canadian breweries, including a selection of collaboration ales. There will be live entertainment, and food will be available for purchase. "Princess Pass" VIP tickets, with a catered buffet and special VIP area, are available.

13-15: Washington Brewers Festival, Redmond, WA

The Washington Beer Commission presents the 2014 Washington Brewers Festival, which will take
place at King County's Marymoor Park in Redmond. Friday evening's 21-and-over session will feature beer from about 35 Washington breweries, along with food and live music. Saturday and Sunday's sessions, which are open to all ages, will feature around 250 beers from over 80 Washington breweries, along with ciders and wines. There will also be live music, a brewers' keg toss contest, food and craft items for sale, and a kids' playground and root beer garden.

14: Five Alarm Mountain Madness, Farmington, PA

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, in Farmington, will host the fifth annual Five Alarm Mountain Madness. This afternoon event is a beer festival, paired with an International Chili Society-sanctioned cook-off judged by a celebrity panels. There will also be live entertainment, food for purchase, a Kidz Korner, and adventure sports. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Farmington Volunteer Fire Department.

14: Harrisburg Beer Festival, Harrisburg, PA

Tröegs Brewing Company and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Central Pennsylvania present the 11th annual Harrisburg Beer Festival, which will take place downtown at Locust and Third Streets. The festival consists of afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with beer from around 50 breweries. There will also be local live music, and a wide variety of food for purchase. The proceeds will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Central Pennsylvania.

14: Great Northern Beer Festival, Eagle River, WI

Lou Dog Events presents the inaugural Lombard Ale Fest, which will take place downtown at the Lombard Metra station. This afternoon event will feature more than 80 beers from craft breweries from throughout the country. There will also be live entertainment, and Chicagoland food trucks will be on hand. VIP tickets, with early admission and a food voucher, are available. Proceeds will benefit non-profit organizations in the community.

14: Made in the Shade Craft Beer Festival, Avoca, VA

The 2014 Made in the Shade Craft Beer Festival will be held at the Avoca Museum and Historical Society. This event will feature a variety of beers from area breweries, along with a selection of wines. There will also be two live bands, crafters, food and merchandise vendors, and a bake sale.

14: Monterey Beer Festival, Monterey, CA

The 13th annual Monterey Beer Festival will be held at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 80 local, domestic, and foreign breweries. Live bands will perform all afternoon, and food vendors will be selling a variety of cuisines. VIP tickets, with early admission and access to the Turf Club, are available. Proceeds will benefit the Monterey County Fair Heritage Foundation.

14: New Hope Beer Festival, New Hope, PA

The inaugural New Hope Beer Festival will be held at the Eagle Fire House Banquet Hall, located within walking distance from downtown. This afternoon event will feature beer from Philadelphia-area craft breweries, with an emphasis on seasonal beers. There will also be live music and entertainment. VIP tickets, with a special selection of beers, are available.

14: Rochester Beer Expo, Rochester, NY

The Business Association of the South Wedge Area presents the fourth annual Rochester Beer Expo, which will take place on Gregory Street. This evening street party-style event will feature more than 80 craft-brewed beers, along with a selection of boutique wines. 14: Saratoga Brewfest, Ballston Spa, NY

The Ruck presents the fifth annual Saratoga Brewfest, which will take place at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa. This afternoon event will feature more than 150 craft-brewed beers. 19: The Fermentation Celebration, Bend, OR

The third annual Fermentation Celebration will be held in Bend's Old Mill District. This family-friendlyThursday evening event is a beer walk through downtown Bend, with tastings at the city's numerous breweries. Live bands will perform in the city's Center Plaza.

20-22: Beer & BBQ Show, London, ON, Canada

The Western Fair District presents the second annual London Beer & BBQ Show, which will take place at the Western Fair Grounds in London. This three-day event will feature more than 50 Ontario craft beers. There will also be barbecue, including pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and chicken; an educational program; a variety of sports; cooking demos; and activities.

20-21: Great Eldorado BBQ, Brews and Blues Festival, Reno, NV

The Eldorado Casino and Hotel presents the 19th annual Great Eldorado BBQ, Brews and Blues Festival, which will take place in downtown Reno. This two-day block party-style event will feature beer from more than 40 breweries, including Brew Brothers beer made at the casino. Live musical acts will perform on two stages, and barbecue and other food will be available for purchase.

20: Raley Field Brewfest, Sacramento, CA

Raley Field, the home of the Sacramento River Cats, will host the eighth annual Raley Field Brewfest. This evening event, to be held under a tent on the warning track, will feature beer from dozens of breweries. A Rare Beer tent will serve hard-to-find beers (extra charge). Live bands are scheduled to perform, and food will be available for purchase.

20-22: San Diego International Beer Festival, San Diego, CA

The San Diego County Fair will host the eighth annual San Diego International Beer Festival, which will take place at the Chevrolet Del Mar Arena. This three-day, five-session event will feature more than 400 beers from over 180 domestic and foreign breweries. There will also be a judged competition. VIP tickets, with early admission, a special VIP lounge, and complimentary food, are available.

20-21: Summer Beer Fest, Detroit, MI

Westborn Markets presents Summer Beer Fest 2014, which returns to Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit. This two-day event will feature more than 200 domestic and imported beers, including some not normally available in Detroit. There will also be live music, food and merchandise vendors, and games and contests. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

20-22: Two Brothers Summer Festival, Aurora, IL

Two Brothers Brewing presents the sixth annual Summer Festival, which will be held at Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora. This zero-waste event will feature beer from Two Brothers and a number of guest breweries from Illinois. There will be also live entertainment, a homebrew competition, an Art Fair and Art Bar, family and children's activities on Sunday, and food and merchandise vendors. Proceeds will be donated to local charities.

20-21: Wyoming Brewers Festival, Cheyenne, WY

The 19th annual Wyoming Brewers Festival will be held at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza. This two-day event will feature around 120 beers from 50 breweries, including beers from Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain region, along with live music. Friday evening's session will be a Tasters Party, with food from Cheyenne's restaurants; and Saturday evening's session will be a Brewers Festival.

21: Beer & Gear Fest, Ohiopyle, PA

Wilderness Voyageurs will host the 13th annual Beer & Gear Fest. This late-afternoon event will feature beer from more than 25 breweries, most off them from Pennsylvania, along with beer from the local homebrew club. There will also be live music by Half Bad Blue Grass, kayaking gear for sale, and a 5-K run.

21: Brew-Ha-Ha, Indianapolis, IN

The 18th annual Brew-Ha-Ha will take place in front of the Phoenix Theatre in the 700 block of North Park Avenue in Indianapolis. This afternoon block party-style event will feature beer from more than 30 local craft breweries. There will also be live music and food for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. The festival is a benefit for the theater.

21: Brews n' Blues, Oshkosh, WI

The Oshkosh Jaycees present the 19th annual Brews n' Blues, which will take place at Leach Amphitheater. This afternoon/evening event will feature more than 100 beers from 30 breweries and homebrew clubs. Local blues bands will perform, and food will be available for purchase. 21: Founders Fest, Grand Rapids, MI

Founders Brewing Company presents the seventh annual Founders Fest, which will take place in downtown Grand Rapids. Recent editions of this festival have been an outdoor daytime beer and music festival with Founders beer, including Founders Fest Wheat; live music; food vendors; and a "Local Artists Row" showcasing area artists and designers.

21: Great Falls Brewfest, Lewiston, ME

Baxter Brewing Company presents the inaugural Great Falls Brewfest, which will take place at Simard-Payne Memorial Park in Lewiston. This afternoon event will feature beer from 30 breweries, many of them from Maine. There will also be live music, food trucks, artwork and craft items for sale, and games.

21: McMenamins Barley Cup, Salem, OR

McMenamins Breweries presents the 17th annual McMenamins Barley Cup, which will take place at Thompson Brewery & Public House, a historic structure in Salem. This is a competition among McMenamins brewers, whose beer style is determined by a random drawing. The winner of the Cup, chosen by the Capital City Homebrewers Club, will represent McMenamins at the Holiday Ale Festival in Portland. Festival-goers are invited to vote for the "People's Choice" award. Brewers will be on hand to answer questions and give tours of the brewery.

21-28: New Hampshire Craft Beer Week, various locations, NH

New Hampshire Craft Beer Week 2014 will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout the state. The headline event of this eight-day celebration is the New England Beer Festival. There will be many other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

21-22: Northern Virginia Summer BrewFest, Leesburg, VA

The seventh annual Northern Virginia Summer BrewFest will take place at Morven Park in Leesburg. This two-day event will feature beer from more than 60 American breweries. There will also be music by local and regional bands; a variety of food for purchase; and a wide array of artists, crafters, and business and commercial exhibitors.

21: Rails & Ales, Alamosa and LaVeta, CO

The Rio Grande Scenic Railroad presents the seventh annual Rails & Ales. This daytime event will feature a round-trip classic train ride from Alamosa or LaVeta to Fir Station, a Rocky Mountain venue built for the railroad. Craft-brewed beers from more than 20 regional breweries will be served. There will also be live music and barbecue. First Class and Diamond Class tickets are available.

21: Tap Into Summer, Bangor, ME

Tap Into Summer, "Bangor's Beer Festival," will be held on the city's waterfront. This afternoon event will feature beer from 24 Maine breweries. Brewers will be in attendance, and festival-goers are invited to vote for their "Fan Favorite." VIP tickets, with early admission and a barbecue lunch, are available.

21: Wisconsin Beer & Cheese Tour, Wheaton, IL

The Wheaton stop on the Wisconsin Beer & Cheese Tour will be held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds. This late-afternoon event will feature a wide variety of Wisconsin beers, artisan cheeses, and sausages. There will also be live music, food-centric demonstrations and activities, and food for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, snacks, and a special selection of beers, are available.

23-29: Nashville Craft Beer Week, various locations, Nashville, TN

Rhizome Productions presents the third annual Nashville Craft Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Nashville. The headline event is the East Nashville Beer Festival. There will many other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

26-29: North American Organic Brewers Festival, Portland, OR

The tenth annual North American Organic Brewers Festival will be held at Overlook Park in Portland. This four-day event, which is designed to raise awareness of organic beer and sustainable living, will feature more than 50 organic beers from around the country. There will also be live music, organic food for purchase, sustainability-oriented vendors, non-profit booths, and a children's area. Admission is free. The festival benefits the Oregon Food Bank and the Overlook Village Business Association.

27: Amesbury Days Invitational Craft Brewfest, Amesbury, MA

Heat Event Management presents the fifth annual Amesbury Days Invitational Craft Brewfest, which will take place in the parking lot of Amesbury Town Hall. This evening event will feature more than 60 beers from small microbreweries, and brewers will be in attendance. There will also be live music. The festival is a fund-raiser for the Amesbury Days fireworks display and other community activities.

27-29: Beer Passion Weekend, Antwerp, Belgium

Beer Passion magazine presents the 15th annual Beer Passion Weekend, which will take place at Groenplaats, the historic square in downtown Antwerp. This three-day event will feature around 200 beers, most of them brewed in Flanders, along with beer cuisine and musical entertainment. The Beer Passion website is entirely in Dutch.

27-29: Billericay Lions Beer Festival, Billericay, England

The Lions Club of Billericay presents the fifth annual Billericay Beer Festival, which will take place on the grounds of the Billericay Football Club. This three-day event will feature more than 50 Real Ales, ciders, and perries. There will also be live entertainment, and hot and cold food will be available for purchase. All profits will be donated to Lions Club charities.

27-28: Greater Manchester Cider & Perry Festival, Manchester, England

The Greater Manchester branches of the Campaign For Real Ale present the 2014 Greater Manchester Cider & Perry Festival, which will be held at the Palace Hotel. This two-day event will feature more than 50 traditional ciders and perries. Food will be available for purchase. This year's festival charity is Walthew House.

28: California Beer Festival-Marin County, Novato, CA

California Beer Festival, LLC, presents the third annual Marin County edition of the California Beer Festival, which will take place at Stafford Lake Park in Novato. This afternoon event will feature more than 70 beers from over 30 breweries, most of them from California. There will also be live entertainment; food, including sliders; and bocce ball. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. Part of the proceeds will go to local non-profits.

28: Charlbury Beer Festival, Charlbury, England

The 2014 Charlbury Beer Festival will be held at the Charlbury Cricket Club. This all-day event will feature a variety of Real Ales (there have been around 50 in recent years), along with a variety of ciders, perries, and wines. There will be live musical acts and Morris dancers, the World "Aunt Sally" Open Singles competition ("Aunt Sally" is a traditional pub game), food, and children's activities. Proceeds will be given to charity.

28: Clifford Champion Beer Festival, Clifford, England

The fifth annual Clifford Champion Beer Festival will be held at Clifford Village Hall. This all-day festival will feature more than 30 beers, including champion ales, as well as selection of traditional ciders and wines. There will also be live entertainment and dancing, and hot and cold food will be available for purchase.

28-29: Great European Beerfest, Pittsburgh, PA

The Sharp Edge Beer Emporium, in Pittsburgh, will host the 18th annual Great European Beerfest. Recent editions of this two-day event, which organizers describe as America's "only all-European Beerfest," gave featured around 135 beers, including 40 from Belgium. Importers' representatives will be on hand, and there will be live entertainment, homemade food for purchase, and a drawing for prizes at all three sessions.

28: Green River Brew Fest, Greenfield, MA

Lefty's Brewing Company presents the tenth annual Green River Brew Fest, which will take place at a new venue, the Franklin County Fair Grounds in Greenfield. This afternoon event will feature a variety of craft and imported beers (there were around 70, from 30 breweries, last year). There will also be live music, food vendors, a prize raffle, and a cigar bar. Proceeds will go to the Greenfield Police Association and its public safety programs.

28: New England Brewfest, Lincoln, NH

The Lincoln-Woodstock Chamber of Commerce presents the tenth annual New England Brewfest, which will be held at the Lincoln Village Shops in Lincoln.This afternoon/evening event will feature more than 100 beers from 33 New England microbreweries. There will also be live music, homebrewing demonstrations, and food and merchandise vendors. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

28: Rhythm & Brews Festival, Hermann, MO

The Tin Mill Brewery, located in a historic old mill in downtown Hermann, will host the eighth annual Rhythm & Brews Festival. This afternoon event will feature beer from Midwest microbreweries. There will also be live music, and food and merchandise vendors will be at the festival site.
