3-4: Frodsham Beer Festival, Frodsham, England

Frodsham Care presents the 2014 Frodsham Winter Festival, which will take place at the Parish Church Hall. Organizers expect to offer a high-quality range of beers, with an emphasis on high-gravity ales and winter warmers, along with ciders and wines. Eating facilities will be available, and festival-goers are welcome to bring their own food.

9-11: Big Beers, Belgians and Barleywines Festival, Vail, CO

The 14th annual Big Beers, Belgians and Barleywines Festival will be held at Vail Cascade Resort & Spa. This year's events will include brewmaster's dinners on Thursday and Friday, with appearances by representatives of leading breweries; a Friday morning Cicerone program orientation; a Friday afternoon welcome reception; an AHA-sanctioned homebrew competition; an experimental brewing session; expert talks about beer; and a Saturday tasting session with 200 "big" beers from around the world. The festival supports the efforts of the Vail Valley Charitable Fund.

10-11: Exeter Festival of Winter Ales, Exeter, England

The Exeter & East Devon Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 25th annual Exeter Festival of Winter Ales, which will take place on the grounds of the Exeter City Football Club in St James Park. Organizers expect to have 66 Real Ales, along with ciders and perries. There will also be food for purchase, and free soft drinks for designated drivers.

11: Cabin Fever, Maplewood, MO

The Schlafly Bottleworks, in Maplewood, will host Cabin Fever, the 2014 Schlafly Winter Beer Festival. This afternoon outdoor event will feature a selection of Schlafly beers, including winter seasonals, along with live music.

11: Mankato Craft Beer Expo, Mankato, MN

The second annual Mankato Craft Beer Expo will be held at the Verizon Wireless Center in downtown Mankato. This afternoon event will feature beer from 40 craft breweries, many of them from Minnesota, with brewery and distributor representatives in attendance. There will also be live music and food; merchandise vendors; and educational presentations on food pairing, homebrewing, and Minnesota brewing history.

11-18: Kalamazoo Beer Week, Kalamazoo, MI

The fourth annual Kalamazoo Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Kalamazoo. There will be 100 or more events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

17-18: Columbus Winter Beerfest, Columbus, OH

Festivals Unlimited LLC presents the fourth annual Columbus Winter Beerfest, which will take place in expanded quarters at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. This two-day event will feature more than 300 beers from over 60 breweries, along with live music. VIP tickets with early admission, and connoisseur tickets with early admission, food, and a special selection of beers, are available.

18: Flagstaff BrewHaHa, Flagstaff, AZ

Greenhouse Productions presents the fourth annual Flagstaff BrewHaHa, which will take place at the High Country Conference Center. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 35 breweries, many of them from Arizona, along with live entertainment. A VIP luncheon will begin an hour before the festival itself. Proceeds will go to Northern Arizona Habitat for Humanity.

17-18: Great Alaska Beer & Barleywine Festival, Anchorage, AK

Aurora Productions, Inc., presents the 20th annual Great Alaska Beer & Barleywine Festival, which will take place in the Egan Convention Center in Anchorage. There will be three tasting sessions, including a connoisseur session on Saturday afternoon, each with 200 barleywine-style beers, winter warmers, and other seasonal beers from 50 breweries. There will be a judged competition, live music, and food for purchase. The festival benefits the American Diabetes Association.

17-18: Lichfield Winter Beer & Wine Festival, Lichfield, England

Lichfield Arts presents the 2014 Lichfield Winter Beer & Wine Festival, which will take place at The Guildhall. This community event will feature a selection of Real Ales (there have been more than 30 at recent festivals), along with traditional ciders and wine. Part A (Friday) and Knoxville Highway (Saturday) are scheduled to perform.

18: Isthmus Beer & Cheese Fest, Madison, WI

Isthmus magazine presents the fifth annual Isthmus Beer & Cheese Fest, which will take place at the Alliant Energy Center Exhibition Hall in Madison. This afternoon event will feature hundreds of beers from Wisconsin breweries, along with cheese from local producers. VIP tickets, with early admission, a special selection of beers and cheeses, and an opportunity to meet brewers and cheesemakers, are available.

18: WinterHop Brewfest, Ellensburg, WA

The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce presents the tenth annual WinterHop Brewfest, which will take place in historic Ellensburg. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 20 Northwest microbreweries, served at a number of venues throughout downtown.

18: World Beer Festival-Columbia, Columbia, SC

All About Beer magazine presents the sixth annual Columbia edition of the World Beer Festival, which will take place at the Columbia Convention Center. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with more than 200 beers. There will also be live music, an educational program at the "Art of Beer Village," and food for purchase. VIP tickets, with a food buffet and a special selection of beers, are available.

18: Yaga's Chili Quest & Beer Fest, Galveston, TX

The fifth annual Yaga's Chili Quest & Beer Fest will be held in Galveston's historic Strand District. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 craft and imported beers, with brewers in attendance, along with chili from over 80 cook-off teams. Other events associated with this festival will include a washer pitching tournament, a jalapeno-eating contest, a 5K fun run, a Strand merchant walkabout, and a party the evening before the festival.

19-22: National Winter Ales Festival, Derby, England

The Campaign for Real Ale presents the 2014 National Winter Ales Festival, which will take place at a new venue, the Roundhouse in Derby, the world's first and oldest surviving railway roundhouse. Organizers expect to have more than 300 selections, including ales from across the country, foreign beers, bottled beers, ciders, perries, and meads. The Champion Beer of Britain, in four style categories, will take place at this festival. There will also be live music in the evening, and food will be available for purchase.

22-25: Colchester Winter Ale Festival, Colchester, England

The Colchester Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the seventh annual Colchester Winter Ale Festival, which will take place at the Arts Centre, a centuries-old deconsecrated church. This event will feature more than 100 beers from East Anglia, along with Real Cider and Perry, wine, and a Belgian bar offering draft and bottled beers. Food will be available for purchase, and there will be live music on Saturday night.

22-25: Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Manchester, England

The Greater Manchester Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 2014 Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, which will take place at The Velodrome at the National Cycling Center. There will be 16 bars serving more than 300 cask-conditioned ales, along with 75 traditional ciders and perries, bottle-conditioned ales, and imported beers. There will also be food vendors and a games area. The festival venue is a training facility for both British Cycling and Team Sky. This year's festival charity is Henshaws Society For Blind People.

23-25: Cambridge Winter Ale Festival, Cambridge, England

The Cambridge & District branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 18th annual Cambridge Winter Ale Festival, which will take place at the University Social Club. There will be beers from both local and national breweries, including Cambridge's five breweries, as well as Real Cider and foreign bottled beers.

24: The Art of Beer, McClellan, CA

The Art of Beer will be held at Aerospace Museum of California in McClellan. This evening event will feature beer from more than 30 breweries and cider from three cideries. More than ten artists will be in attendance, and four "beer art lounges" will be set up. Food vendors from across the country will be at the museum. VIP tickets are available for the "Rare Beer Hour," which will take place before the event itself. The festival is a benefit for Ales for Autism.

24-25: Beamish Hall Winter Festival, Beamish, England

The Beamish Hall Best Western Country House Hotel will host its annual Winter Festival. This two-day, indoor-outdoor event will feature more than 60 Real Ales, ciders, and perries. There will be continuous live entertainment both days.

24-25: Beer Summit Winter Jubilee, Boston, MA

BeerSummit.com presents the 13th annual Winter Jubilee, which will take place at the Park Plaza Castle in Boston. The festival will consist of three tasting sessions, each of which will feature more than 200 beers, including winter seasonals, from over 60 breweries.

24: Brew HaHa, Sparks, NV

John Ascuaga's Nugget, in Sparks, will host Brew HaHa 2014. It will take place in the Rose Room. This evening event will feature beer from more than 35 breweries, many of them from the West. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. The festival is a benefit for Sierra Arts.

24-25: Denver Winter Ales Festival, Denver, CO

Right on Productions presents the 2014 Denver Winter Ales Festival, which will take place at Mile High Station in Denver. This event has been expanded to two days. In recent years, it has featured more than 90 beers from over 35 breweries along with live music in the evening and food and merchandise vendors. VIP tickets, with early admission, cheese, and a special beer pouring, are available. The festival benefits the Swallow Hill Music Association.

24: Field of Beers, Jupiter, FL

The sixth annual Field of Beers festival will be held at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, the spring training home of the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals. This evening event will feature 15 stations, each pairing craft-brewed beers and food served by a team of Palm Beach-area chefs headed by Chef John Carlino.

24-25: First Taste Oregon, Salem, OR

First Taste Oregon will be held at Columbia Hall on the grounds of the Oregon State Fair & Exposition Center in Salem. This two-day event, formerly known as the Oregon Wine, Food & Brew Festival, will feature more than 100 vendors of Oregon products, including craft beer, wine, spirits, food, and merchandise. There will also be live entertainment and dancing, works by Northwest artists, and culinary demonstrations and classes.

24-25: Great Canadian Beer Expo--Sydney, Sydney, NS, Canada

The Sydney edition of the Great Canadian Beer Expo will be held at Centre 200. This two-evening event will feature more than 120 domestic and imported beers, and food will be available for purchase. Attendees will be entered in a drawing for a trip for two to Munich's Oktoberfest. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

24-25: Winterfest XVI, Salisbury, England

The Salisbury & South Wilts Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents Winterfest 2014, which will take place at the Castle Street Social Club in Salisbury. Recent editions of this two-day, three-session event have featured more than 20 seasonal Real Ales, along with some ciders and food for purchase.

25: Asbury Park BeerFest, Asbury Park, NJ

95.9 FM WRAT Radio and the Asbury Park Boardwalk present the third annual Asbury Park BeerFest, which will take place at Convention Hall. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with a selection of craft beers and ciders, including beer brewed in New Jersey, as well as iconic retro beers served at "Your Old Man's Bar." There will also be live entertainment, including WRAT on-air talent on hand (the event will be broadcast live); food for purchase; and beer sports. Part of the proceeds will go to non-profit organizations at the Jersey Shore.

25: Asheville Winter Warmer Beer Festival, Asheville, NC

ThreeSheets:Design and Brews Cruise, Inc., present the seventh annual Asheville Winter Warmer Beer Festival, which will take place downtown on the Arena Level of the Asheville Civic Center. This late-afternoon event will feature beer from more than 30 breweries, many of them from Asheville and western North Carolina. There will also be live music, along with food provided by a local caterer. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Western North Carolina Alliance.

25: Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting, Sandy Springs, GA

Brewtopia, LLC, presents the tenth annual Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting, which will take place at 5 Seasons Westside & Taco Mac Prado, two adjacent establishments in Sandy Springs' Prado Center. This afternoon event will feature 40 cask-conditioned ales from the U.S. and the U.K., voting for the "People's Choice" award, and food items from 5 Seasons and Taco Mac. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Atlanta Humane Society.

25-26: Atlanta Winter Beer Festival, Atlanta, GA

AtlantaBeerFestivals.com presents the 2013 Atlanta Winter Beer Festival, which will take place at Masquerade, an indoor venue, and in tents outside in Music Park. This event, which has been expanded to two days, will feature more than 300 beers from local and national breweries, with beers east of the Mississippi on Saturday and beers from the West on Sunday. There will be live music on five stages both days, games and other entertainment, and food for purchase.

25: Beer, Bourbon & Barbecue Festival, New York, NY

Trigger Agency, LLC, kicks off the 2014 Beer, Bourbon & Barbecue Festival tour. It will take place at a new venue, The Tunnel in Manhattan. The festival will consist of an afternoon "Bacon Bash Session" and an evening "Whole Hog Pickin' Session," each with unlimited sampling of 60 beers and 40 bourbons; live bluegrass music; barbecue, Southern specialties, and other foods; and seminars led by master distillers, brewmasters, and pit masters. A limited number of "Grand Poobah" tickets, with admission to both sessions and a special selection of bourbons, is available.

25: Beer Dabbler Showcase at the Winter Carnival, St. Paul, MN

The fifth annual Beer Dabbler Showcase at the Winter Carnival will take place on the midway of the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul. This late-afternoon outdoor event will feature beer from more than 150 local, regional, and national breweries. There will also be live music and a silent disco, winter activities, food for purchase, and a homebrewing contest.

25: Brewpub Shootout, Chicago, IL

The Chicago Beer Society presents the 16th annual Brewpub Shootout, which will take place at Zhou B Art Center in Chicago. This afternoon members-only event will feature food and beer from Chicago-area brewpubs and microbreweries. Attendees are invited to vote for their favorite beer and food item. 

25: Brews & Bros Craft Beer Festival, Upland, CA

Dale Bros Brewery presents the 11th annual Brews & Bros Craft Beer Festival, which will take place at Cable Airport in Upland. This afternoon event will feature more than 50 beers from 25 local breweries. There will also be live music, a vintage RV show, food for purchase, and games. VIP tickets, with early admission and a meet-the-brewer session, are available. The festival charity is the Claremont Educational Foundation.

25: Coralville Brrr Fest, Coralville, IA

The fifth annual Coralville Brrr Fest will be held at the Coralville Marriott Hotel and Conference Center Exhibit Hall. This afternoon event will feature a selection of winter seasonals (recent editions of this festival have featured more than 40 Midwestern breweries). Food will be available for purchase. Brewmaster tickets, with early admission and an opportunity to meet the brewers, are available. Part of the proceeds will benefit Coralville's annual 4th Fest celebration.

25: Great Beer Expo at the Meadowlands, Secaucus, NJ

Starfish Junction Production presents the fourth annual International Great Beer Expo at the Meadowlands, which will take place at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus. There will be two tasting sessions, each with more than 100 beers from more than 50 breweries representing 20 different countries. There will also be an educational program, and food will be available for purchase. The festival charity is the Beer for Brains Foundation.

25: JA World Uncorked, Coconut Creek, FL

Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida and the Circle of Wise Women present the fourth annual JA Uncorked, which will take place at the JA World Huizenga Center at Broward College in Coconut Creek. This evening event will feature craft beer, wine, and spirits, along with menu items and desserts from local restaurants. There will also be dancing, an auction, and Celebrity Chef and Fan Favorite voting. Proceeds will benefit Junior Achievement of South Florida.

25: Jolly Skull Beer Fest, Greenville, NC

Beer Army, LLC, presents the fourth annual Jolly Skull Beer Festival, which will take place downtown at the Greenville Convention Center. This afternoon event will feature more than 125 beers from over 50 American craft and regional breweries, including a number of beers from North Carolina. Food will be available, and there will be live music and a DJ. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. The festival is a fund-raiser for the Museum of the Marine and the Beer Army Vigilant Guardian Foundation.

25: Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival, Jupiter, FL

The eighth annual Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival will take place at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, the home of the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals. This afternoon event will feature a selection of beers (there were more than 175, from over 50 breweries, in recent years) from around the country, including beers brewed in south Florida. There will also be live local entertainment along with Craftoberfest, "where craft beer meets Octoberfest."

25: Lincoln Square Winterbrew, Chicago, IL

The Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce and the Square Kegs Home Brew Club present the third annual Lincoln Square Winterbrew, which will take place at the Dank Haus in Chicago's Lincoln Square. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with local beer and food.

25: Niagara Wine & Beer Fest, Lockport, NY

The Kenan Center, in Lockport, will host the third annual Niagara Wine & Beer Fest. The evening event, which is a benefit for the Center's arts, educational, and recreation programs, will feature the products of a variety of breweries and wineries (there were around 20 in years past). There will also be live music, food for purchase, an auction, and a 50/50 raffle.

25-26: Strange Brewfest, Port Townsend, WA

The tenth annual Strange Brewfest will be held at the American Legion Hall in downtown Port Townsend. This two-day indoor/outdoor will feature the products of more than 30 breweries and cideries from the Northwest. There will be live music with a "heavy dose of funk," along with a DJ and light show; a variety of other entertainment, including chainsaw carving and belly dancing; and food for purchase.

25: Super Brew V, New Castle, PA

Super Brew V will be held at the Crane Room Grille in New Castle. There will be two tasting sessions, each with more than 50 beers from over 30 local and national craft breweries, along with 20 home-brewed beers. There will also be live entertainment and food for purchase. There will be two VIP lounges. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

26: Big Dog's Winterfest, Las Vegas, NV

Las Vegas Weekly presents the 2014 Big Dog's Winterfest, which will take place at Big Dog's Draft House in Las Vegas. This afternoon/evening event will feature more than 50 beers. There will also be live music, a choice of Cajun gumbo or Chef Sergio's pozole, a raffle for cash and prizes, and merchandise for purchase. Admission is free. The festival will benefit The Animal Foundation.

30-February 2: Bent N Bongs Beer Bash, Atherton, England

The Bent N Bongs Charitable Trust, in association with the Wigan Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, presents the 25th annual Bent and Bongs Beer Bash, which will take place at Formby Hall in Atherton. Around 80 Real Ales, including both new beers and old favorites, will be served at three bars. There will also be live entertainment at all sessions; food, including Bury black puddings, sausages, and sandwiches; live entertainment; and merchandise for sale. Proceeds will be donated to local charities.

30-February 1: Pendle Beer Festival, Colne, England

The East Lancashire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the tenth annual Pendle Beer Festival, which will take place at the Muni Theatre in Colne. This year's festival theme is "Local Ale." There will be more than 100 Real Ales from the Colne Area, along with ciders, perries, and bottled beers. There will also be live entertainment, and hot food will be available for purchase.

30: Pour for a Cure, Pittsburgh, PA

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Young Professionals Board presents the fourth annual Pour for a Cure, which will take place at a new venue, the Pittsburgh Opera. This Thursday evening event will feature 27 beers from around the world, along with a selection of appetizers. Mike Ley will provide musical entertainment, and there will be an auction.

31-February 1: Art & Craft Beerfest, Lansing, MI

I'm a Beer Hound, REO Town Pub, and Fork in the Road Artisan Diner present the 2014 Art & Craft Beerfest, which will take place in Lansing's REO Town. This event, which has been expanded to two days, will feature 20 beers, all from Traverse City's Right Brain Brewery; live local music; and sculpture (Friday) and paintings (Saturday) by Michigan artists. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. The festival is a fund-raiser for REO Town’s AA Creative Corridor.

31: Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild Winterfest, St. Paul, MN

The Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild presents the 13th annual Winterfest, which will take place at a new venue, the Union Depot in St. Paul. This evening event will feature craft beer from more than than 35 Minnesota breweries and brewpubs, and attendees are invited to vote for their favorite. There will also be live music, a beer education program, and Minnesota-inspired food.

31-February 1: Great Canadian Beer Expo--Moncton, Moncton, NB, Canada

The Moncton edition of the Great Canadian Beer Expo will be held at the Cunard Centre. This two-evening event will feature more than 120 domestic and imported beers, and food will be available for purchase. Attendees will be entered in a drawing for a trip for two to Munich's Oktoberfest. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

31-February 1: Festiv-Ale, Regina, SK, Canada

The 2014 edition of Festiv-Ale, A Brewer's Expo, will be held at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. This two-day event, presented on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion, will feature more than 200 beers, along with a selection of wine and spirits. There will also be live entertainment, food for purchase, and a Legion Museum display of war artifacts.

31-February 1: Breweries and Foodies, Denver, CO

Orange Crunch presents Breweries and Foodies, which will take place at Wing Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver. This evening event will feature beer from 25 Colorado breweries, enertainment by a live band and a dance crew, food from six food trucks, prize giveaways, and a silent auction. Proceeds will go toward Philippine typhoon relief.
