March 29-5: Annapolis Beer Week, various locations, Annapolis, MD

Annapolis Beer Week 2014 will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Annapolis. The highlight event of this eight-day celebration of craft beer are Drafts and Laughs and the Maryland Chicken Wing and Beer Festival. There will be many other events, including a Beer Run on opening day, include beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

1-8: Howard County Beer Week, Howard County, MD

Howard County Beer Week 2014 will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in the county. The eight-day celebration will kick off with a Tap Party Tuesday evening. There will be other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

1-30: North Carolina Beer Month, various locations, NC

North Carolina Beer Month 2014 will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues across the state. There will be numerous events such as festivals, a Beer Camp, beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

3: Brews for Views, Pittsburgh, PA

Scenic Pittsburgh presents Brews for Views, which will take place at the Society for Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh's Strip District. This Thursday evening event will feature beer from three Pittsburgh breweries (East End, Hop Farm, and Roundabout), along with complimentary appetizers. Brews for Views is a fund-raiser for Scenic Pittsburgh's environmental programs.

3: Miss-i-sippin, Oxford, MS

The Yoknapatawpha Arts Council presents the sixth annual Miss-i-sippin, which will take place at the Powerhouse Community Arts Council in Oxford. This evening event, which organizers describe as a beer and food pairing, will feature seasonal and other craft beers along with southern food. Proceeds will go to the Arts Council and the University of Mississippi Hospitality Management Program.

3-5: Walsall Real Ale and Cider Festival, Walsall, England

The Walsall Banch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 2014 Walsall Real Ale and Cider Festival, which will take place at Town Hall. Recent editions of this festival have featured around 100 beers, along with 25 or more ciders, bottled beers, and fruit wines; live entertainment at some sessions; food for purchase; a tombola; and a CAMRA shop.

4-5: Atlantic City Beer Festival, Atlantic City, NJ

The ninth annual Atlantic City Beer Festival, which will take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The festival, also known as "The Celebration of the Suds," is a two-day, three-session event featuring beer from more than 100 breweries, including some limited-release beers. There will also be a variety of live music, culinary demonstrations from local chefs, beer seminars hosted by industry personalities, and food and merchandise vendors.

4-5: Boston Beer Summit, Boston, MA

BeerSummit presents the 15th annual Boston Beer Summit, which will take place at the Park Plaza Castle. This two-day, three-session event will feature more than 200 beers, including seasonal beers, from over 60 breweries. There will also be live entertainment.

4-5: Edmonton International Beer Fest, Edmonton, AB, Canada

The 2014 Edmonton International Beer Fest will be held at the Shaw Conference Centre. This two-day event will feature more than 200 beers, with Edmonton's most popular beer-serving establishments represented. Ten live bands are scheduled to perform. "Ale Pass" tickets, with early admission, are available.

4: Food & Foam Fest, North Little Rock, AR

The 17th annual Food & Foam Fest will be held at Dickey Stephens Ballpark in North Little Rock. This evening event, which is the state's oldest and largest craft beer festival, will feature more than 320 beers. There will also be live entertainment and activities, food from local restaurants, a silent auction, and a chance to win a New Belgium Cruiser bike. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available. The festival is a benefit for the Arthritis Foundation.

4: From the Barrel, Santa Margarita, CA

Firestone Walker Brewing Company and the historic Santa Margarita Ranch present From the Barrel, which will take place at the ranch. This 1920s-themed evening event will feature barrel-aged beers, bourbons, and ports, along with live music and food from Central Coast restaurants. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. The festival charity is the Woods Humane Society.

4-5: Gloucester Blackfriars Beer & Cider Festival, Gloucester, England

The Gloucester Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the second Gloucester Blackfriars Beer & Cider Festival, which will take place at the 13th century Blackfriars Priory. Organizers expect to have more than 100 Real Ales, along with 25 ciders and perries, and a foreign bottled beer bar. There will also be live music and other entertainment, a local artisan cheese bar, and a quiet room.

4: Maryland Drafts and Laughs, Annapolis, MD

The third annual Maryland Drafts and Laughs will be held at the National Guard Armory in Annapolis. This evening event will feature more than 50 domestic and imported beers, including many brewed in Maryland. Five comedians from the region are scheduled to perform, and food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, drink specials, and an opportunity to meet the comedians, are available. Proceeds will benefit the Foundation for Community Betterment.

4-5: Okanagan Fest-of-Ale, Penticton, BC, Canada

The 19th annual Okanagan Fest-of-Ale will be held at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre. This two-day event, called the Consumer Tasting, will feature beer from 30 breweries, most of them from British Columbia; and festival-goers are invited to vote for the "People's Choice" winning beers. There will also be live entertainment, and food from Penticon-area restaurants. Net proceeds will go to local charities.

4-5: Oldham Beer Festival, Oldham, England

The Rochdale, Oldham and Bury Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale and the Mayor of Oldham's Charity Appeal Committee present the 26th annual Oldham Beer Festival, which will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham. There will be more than 60 Real Ales, along with a selection of ciders, perries, fruit wines, and foreign bottled beers. There will be live entertainment Friday evening. Proceeds will go to the Mayor's Charity.

4: Rock 'n Brew 6, Las Vegas, NV

The Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel will host Rock 'n Brew 6, to take place at the Palms Pool. This evening event will feature more than 80 beers from local and regional breweries. There will be live music from leading Las Vegas bands and DJs, headlined by a surprise national music act. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection Stone ales, are available. Ticket stubs are good until midnight for free admission to the hotel's Nightclub and The View.

5: Beerfest at the Ballpark, Lansing, MI

The Lansing Lugnuts baseball team and I'm A Beer Hound present the inaugural Beerfest at the Ballpark. It will be held at the Lugnuts' home, Cooley Law School Stadium. This afternoon event will feature more than 50 beers, ciders, and meads from over 24 Michigan breweries. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. Part of the proceeds will benefit Old Newsboys, which provides shoes for deserving schoolchildren.

5: BeerMasters Beer Festival, Augusta, GA

The 2014 BeerMasters Beer Festival will take place at Augusta Commons Park in Augusta. This afternoon event, which is part of the Great American Craft Beer Tour, will feature around 150 beers from 50 breweries, many of them local. There will also be live music, and food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

5: Big Texas Beer Fest, Dallas, TX

The 2014 Big Texas Beer Fest will take place at the Fair Park Automobile Building on the Texas State Fairgrounds in Dallas. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 booths, each with several beers. Brewery representatives will be on hand, and food trucks will be at the venue. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank.

5: Blue Point Brewing Company Cask Festival, Patchogue, NY

Blue Point Brewing Company, in Patchogue, will host its tenth annual Cask Festival. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 cask-conditioned ales from over 30 breweries from around the country. There will also be live music and food for purchase from Bobbique.

5: Boone’s Beerfest, Birdsboro, PA

Boone's Beerfest 2014 will be held at the Daniel Boone Homestead in Birdsboro. This afternoon event, which is a fund-raiser for the Friends of the Daniel Boone Homestead, will feature beer from around 15 breweries. There will also be live music, historic brewing demonstrations, and tours of the Daniel Boone house; and food trucks will be at the festival site.

5: Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival, Breckenridge, CO

KSMT, "The Mountain," presents the 2014 Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival, which will take place on Ridge Street in downtown Breckenridge. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 30 craft breweries, most of them from Colorado. Three live bands are scheduled to perform, and food and merchandise vendors will be at the festival site.

5: East Nashville Beer Festival, Nashville, TN

Rhizome Productions presents the fourth annual East Nashville Beer Festival, which will take place in East Park in Nashville. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 40 breweries, including many from Tennessee and neighboring states. Three live bands are scheduled to perform, and food trucks will be on hand. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Ride for Reading. There will also be an official after-party at 3 Crow Bar.

5: Glens Falls Brewfest, Glens Falls, NY

The fifth annual Glens Falls Brewfest will be held at the Queensbury Hotel. This evening event will feature beer from local and national breweries (nearly 60 were represented last year), along with complimentary food from area restaurants. Proceeds will go the Adirondack Theatre Festival and the Feeder Canal Alliance.

5: Gitchee Gumee Brewfest, Superior, WI

The 16th annual Gitchee Gumee Brewfest will be held at the University of Wisconsin-Superior's Wessman Arena. This late-afternoon event, which is a fund-raiser for the Superior Jaycees, will feature more than 100 beers from over 35 breweries. 5: Hogtown Craft Beer Festival, Gainesville, FL

The Hogtown Brewers, Gainesville's homebrew club, presents the third annual Hogtown Craft Beer Festival, which will take place at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. This afternoon event will feature beer from dozens of breweries, including many Florida breweries and brewpubs. There will also be and educational program, homebrewing demonstrations, and food (included in the price of admission).

5: Iron Man Strong Ale Festival, Stevenson, WA

The third annual Iron Man Strong Ale Festival will be held at the Skamania County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall in Stevenson. This afternoon/evening event, which honors the late Jim Caldwell, will feature strong ales (8% ABV or greater) from seven area breweries. Three funk bands are scheduled to perform, and food will be available for purchase. There will be a Beer Geek session an hour before the festival itself.

5: LA Beer Festival, Los Angeles, CA

DrinkEatPlay presents the sixth annual LA Beer Festival, which will take place at LA Center Studios in Los Angeles. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with a wide variety of beers (there were more than 75 in recent years). Two live bands are scheduled to perform, and more than a dozen food trucks will be at the venue. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available.

5: Lyme Regis Beer Festival, Lyme Regis, England

Three Brewers Beer Festivals presents the 2014 Lyme Regis Beer Festival, which will take place at the Marine Theater. Sponsored by local breweries, this all-day event will feature both microbrews and locally-made cider. There will also be live bands and DJ music on two stages, and hot food will be available for purchase.

5: New Times "Original" Beerfest, Fort Lauderdale, FL

Isle Casino Pompano Park presents the 17th annual New Times Broward Palm Beach "Original" Beerfest, which will take place at America's Backyard in downtown Fort Lauderdale. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 domestic and imported beers. There will also be live entertainment, and food from local restaurants and vendors. VIP tickets, with early admission, liquor samples, and a special selection of beers, are available.

5: Pride of the Lions Brewfest, Eagle River, AK

The Eagle River Lions Club presents the second annual Pride of the Lions Brewfest, which will take place at the Lions Clubhouse in Eagle River. The evening event will feature beers from four Alaska breweries and the local homebrew club. There will also be live music; a homebrewing demonstration; food, including prime rib; a silent auction; and a drawing for door prizes. All proceeds will help the blind and support the Lions Community Park.

5: Real Canadian Craft Beer Festival, Niagara Falls, ON, Canada

The 2014 Real Canadian Craft Beer Festival will be held at Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls. This all-day event will feature a selection of Ontario-brewed craft beers. There will also be an educational program, live music, and food for purchase. "Big League Call Up" tickets, with access to the VIP lounge, are available. There will also be an after-party at the CopaCabana.

5: Saint John Beer Fest, Saint John, NL, Canada

The 2014 Saint John Beer Fest will be held at Market Square in the Atrium in Harbour Station in downtown Saint John. This evening event will feature more than 120 beers. There will also be food samples from four local restaurants, beer judging, "Caskalepalooza," and door prizes. The festival is a fund-raiser for Ducks Unlimited Canada.

5: Wine & Craft Brew Festival of Winter Garden, Winter Garden, FL

Trustco Bank and Regency Wine Liquors present the fourth annual Wine & Craft Brew Festival of Winter Garden, which will take place at Regency Wine Liquors. This late-afternoon event will feature more than 100 beers, along with more than 100 wines. There will also be live entertainment and complimentary food samples from area restaurants. VIP tickets, with a selection of premium wines and spirits and a full catered meal, are available.

5: Winter Beer Carnival, Atlanta, GA

The fifth annual Beer Carnival will take place in expanded quarters at Atlantic Station in Atlanta. This afternoon event, formerly known as Winter Beer Carnival, will feature more than 100 beers, including a selection of seasonals. There will also be midway games, with prizes awarded, and music provided by a DJ. Food from local restaurants will be available for purchase. 5: World Beer Festival-Raleigh, Raleigh, NC

All About Beer magazine presents the 2014 Raleigh edition of the World Beer Festival, which will take place downtown at Moore Square. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with more than 250 domestic and imported beers. The Art of Beer Experience will feature beer ingredient samplings, pairings, educational seminars, and a mini commercial brewery. There will also be live music, and food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with a hot catered buffet and a special selection of beers, are available.

6: Stone Oakquinox, Escondido, CA

Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens will host the fourth annual Stone Oakquinox. This daytime event will feature more than 100 barrel-aged and wood-infused beers, both on tap and in bottles, chosen by Stone's "Dr." Bill Sysak.

6: Yards Real Ale Invitational, Philadelphia, PA

Yards Brewing Company, in Philadelphia, will host the seventh annual Real Ale Invitational. This afternoon event will feature more than 30 Real Ales from American and British breweries, including Yards' own ESA. There will also be live music and food. VIP tickets, with early admission, a special festival beer, and a brewery tour led by company founder Tom Kehoe, are available.

8-11: Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America, Denver, CO

The Brewers Association presents the 2014 Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America, which will take place in Denver. This year's conference and expo will coincide with the World Beer Cup. This event is North America's number-one educational event for professional brewers, with four different learning tracks. Activities will include the World Beer Cup competition reception and dinner, trade shows, a wholesalers' conference, a keynote speaker and seminars, and brewery tours.

9-12: Maldon CAMRA Beer Festival, Maldon, England

The Maldon and Dengie Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 12th Maldon CAMRA Beer Festival, which will take place at a new and larger venue, Plume School. This four-day event will feature 56 Real Ales, including a selection of beers from the Home Counties. Food will be available for purchase, and there will be live music Saturday evening.

9-12: Newcastle Beer Festival, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England

The Tyneside & Northumberland Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 38th annual Newcastle Beer Festival, which will take place at Northumbria University Students Union in Newcastle upon Tyne. Organizers expect to have 130 Real Ales, with an emphasis on beers from The North East, along with more than 30 ciders and ten perries. Food will be available for purchase.

10-12: Stourbridge Beer Festival, Stourbridge, England

The Stourbridge & Halesowen Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 17th Stourbridge Beer Festival, which will take place at Town Hall. Organizers expect to have around 90 casks of Real Ale, along with 20 ciders. Hot and cold food will be available for purchase. Part of the proceeds will go to the Mary Stevens Hospice.

10: What The Funk!? CBC Denver 2014, Denver, CO

Nick Mader and Yetta Vorobik present What The Funk!? CBC Denver 2014, which will take place at the Exdo Event Center. This Thursday evening event will feature barrel-aged, wild, sour, and funky beers from more than 50 breweries from around North America. There will also be food for purchase.

11-12: Bath Beer Festival, Bath, England

The Bath and Borders Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 36th annual Bath Beer Festival, which returns to the Premier Suite of the Bath Rugby Club. Organizers expect to have more than 40 Real Ales, along with at least six traditional ciders. Hot food will be available at all sessions, and there will be live music Saturday evening.

11-12: Bierfestival Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands

The fourth annual Beerfestival Groningen will take place at the Martinkerk. This two-day, three-session event will feature a wide variety of domestic and imported beers, both on draft and in bottles. There will also be an educational program and professional and amateur brewing competitions, and a beer and food competition.

11-12: Hook Beer Festival, Surbiton, England

The fifth annual Hook Beer Festival will be held at the Hook Scout Hall in Surbiton, a venue with indoor and an outdoor tasting areas. The festival, which is supported by the Kingston & Leatherhead Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, will feature more than 45 beers and ciders. Food will be available. Proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Campaign and other charities.

11-12: Peoria Jaycees International Beer Festival, Peoria, IL

The Peoria Jaycees present the 22nd annual International Beer Festival, which will take place at the Peoria Exposition Gardens. This two-day festival will feature more than 200 beers at Friday evening's session and around 450 at Saturday's all-day session. There will also be live music, including live bands and bagpipers; food from local restaurants; and food and merchandise vendors. VIP tickets, with early admission, a special selection of beers, and complimentary snacks, are available. Much of the proceeds from the festival will go to local charities.

12: Bay Area Craft Beer Festival, Martinez, CA

Main Street Martinez presents the fifth annual Bay Area Craft Beer Festival, which will take place downtown at Waterfront Park on North Court Street. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 35 breweries west of the Mississippi, live music from two bands, and food from local restaurants. A free shuttle will run between the festival venue and the North Concord BART station and Best Western John Muir Inn. Part of the proceeds will go to Main Street Martinez and a number of local charities.

12: Beer Sprocket, Choctaw, OK

Old Germany Restaurant presents Beer Sprocket, which will take place at Choctaw Creek Park in Choctaw. This afternoon/evening event will feature 100 domestic and imported beers, along with a selection of wines. There will also be live music, and complimentary food samples from several area restaurants.

12: Belleville Ale Fest, Belleville, IL

The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce hosts the second annual Belleville Ale Fest, which will take place at Belleville Crossing Center. This event will feature more than 60 craft-brewed beers from around the country. There will be live music, and food trucks and merchandise vendors will be on hand. Proceeds will benefit the Chamber.

12: Blue Chip Brewfest, Michigan City, IN

The Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, in Michigan City, will host the fourth annual Blue Chip Brewfest. This afternoon event will take place in the Stardust Event Center. It will feature beer from a wide variety of craft breweries, including several from Indiana and Michigan. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, and Brewmaster packages, with a VIP ticket and lunch with a brewmaster, are available.

12: Bloomington Craft Beer Festival, Bloomington, IN

The Brewers Guild of Indiana presents the fourth annual Bloomington Craft Beer Festival, which will take place at the historic Woolery Mill. This late-afternoon event will feature more than 150 Indiana-brewed beers. There will also be live music, and food will be available for purchase.

12: Brew at the Zoo, West Palm Beach, FL

The Palm Beach Zoo, in West Palm Beach, will host Brew at the Zoo. This evening event will feature beer from more than 25 craft breweries, many of them in Florida. There will also be live music, up-close animal encounters, and food for purchase. VIP tickets, with a complimentary food and a special selection of beers, are available. Proceeds support animal care and education at the Zoo.

12: Dairy State Cheese & Beer Festival, Kenosha, WI

The sixth annual Dairy State Beer and Cheese Festival will be held at The Brat Stop in Kenosha. This afternoon event will feature beer from breweries in and around Wisconsin (about 40 were represented at recent festivals), cheese from around the state, music by three live bands, and food and merchandise for sale. The festival is a benefit for the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha.

12: Erie Micro Brew Festival, Erie, PA

The Brewerie at Union Station and WQLN-FM present the eighth annual Erie Micro Brew Fest, which will take place at Union Station. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with beer from nearly 40 breweries, with brewery representatives in attendance. Festival-goers are invited to vote for the best beer and best brewery. There will also be an educational program; and live entertainment, including the One Man Band and Rocket 101 personalities. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available for the afternoon session. Proceeds also benefit children's programming on WQLN-TV.

12: Great International Beer Festival, Providence, RI

The eighth annual Great International Spring Beer Festival will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with more than 250 beers, many of them from New England. There will also be live music and food for purchase. Proceeds will be given to several local charities.

12: Hattiesburg Craft Beer Festival, Hattiesburg, MS

The second annual Hattiesburg Craft Beer Festival will be held at the Historic Hattiesburg Train Depot. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 beers from over 30 breweries, along with a selection of home-brewed beers. There will also be live music, and food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, a special selection of beers, and complimentary food, are available.

12: Leavenworth Ale-Fest, Leavenworth, WA

The Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum presents the 2014 Leavenworth Ale-Fest, which will take place at the Festhalle in the German-themed town of Leavenworth. This all-day event will feature beer from more than 20 Northwest breweries. There will also be live music along with food for purchase, including cheese, sausage, and smoked salmon. Proceeds will go to the museum and Operation Ward 57.

12: River Lakes Craft Beer and Wine Expo, Richmond, MN

The third annual River Lakes Craft Beer and Wine Expo will be held at River Lakes Civic Arena in Richmond. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 beers from over 30 craft breweries, along with 40 wines from across the country. Brewery and distributor representatives will be on hand. There will also be live music, food for purchase, and a homebrew competition and silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the River Lake Stars Youth Hockey Association.

12: Taming of the Brew, Bloomsburg, PA

The 13th annual Taming of the Brew will be held at the Caldwell Consistory in Bloomsburg. This evening event, which is a fund-raiser for the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, will feature beer from more than 30 breweries and distributors, many of them from Pennsylvania. There will be food from local restaurants, along with a silent auction for items donated by local businesses and craftspeople.

12: Thirsty Orange Brew Extravaganza, Johnson City, TN

The third annual Thirsty Orange Brew Extravaganza will be held outside the Mellow Mushroom in Johnson City. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 beers, including hard-to-find and cask-conditioned beers and infused beers dispensed at two roaming lines. There will also be live music and other entertainment, a Thirsty Orange Brew Off, and an Iron Brewer Challenge. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. The festival charity is Girls on the Run.

12: Tinley Park Brew and Vine Festival, Tinley Park, IL

The Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce presents the fifth annual Tinley Park Brew and Vine Festival, which will take place at the Convention Center. This event will feature a selection of craft beers and wines, with nearly 20 vendors in attendance. There will also be gourmet food from local restaurants, local artisans, and live entertainment.

13-15: Beertopia Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China

The third annual Beertopia Hong Kong will take place at a new and larger venue, the West Kowloon Waterfront. This event, which has been expanded to three days, will feature more than 400 beers from around the world. There will also be presentations by beer experts, live music, food for purchase, a "singles tent," and beer games.

13: Classic City Brew Fest, Athens, GA

The 19th annual Classic City Brew Fest will be held at the Foundry Park Inn in downtown Athens. This afternoon event, which is part of Athens Craft Beer Weekend, will feature around 300 regional and international beers, plus a cask ale pavilion with 18 or more one-off ales. There will be live music, and food for purchase prepared by The Foundry. Proceeds will go to the Athens Area Humane Society.

18-21: Altrincham FC Beer Festival, Altrincham, England

18-21: George Inn Easter Beer Festival, Eccleshall, England

The George Inn, a 17th-century coaching inn in the village of Eccleshall, will host an Easter Beer Festival. This four-day event will feature 16 ales, including some new ales, along with traditional ciders and a perry. There will be live music Friday evening, and an oom-pah band will perform on Sunday afternoon. 

18-19: Hop Scotch Spring Beer & Scotch Festival, Seattle, WA

The 12th annual Hop Scotch Spring Beer and Scotch Festival will be held at the Fremont Studios in Seattle. This two-day event will feature more than 80 beverages, including beer, wine, Scotch, and tequila. Food will be available for purchase. Hop Scotch is a benefit for the Fremont Chamber of Commerce’s community grant programs.

18-19: Lansing Microbrew & Music Festival, Lansing, MI

The inaugural Lansing Microbrew & Music Festival will be held in Old Town Lansing. This two-evening event will feature more than 250 beers, wines, ciders, and meads from over 50 producers, many of them from Michigan. There will also be musical entertainment, including live acts, marching bands, and a silent DJ disco. Local food vendors will be on hand. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beer and food, are available. The festival charities are the Greater Lansing Food Bank and Xero Waste Events.

18-19: Planet Thanet Easter Beer Festival, Margate, England

The Thanet Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 2014 Planet Thanet Easter Beer Festival, which will take place at Winter Gardens in Margate. This two-day event will feature than 200 Real Ales, ciders, and perries, including a Garden of England bar showcasing beers from Kent. There will be live music at most sessions, and a giant pub quiz on Saturday. Hot and cold food will be available for purchase.

18-19: Spring Beer and Wine Fest, Portland, OR

Rosewood Productions, Inc., presents the 20th annual Spring Beer and Wine Fest, which will take place at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. This event will feature beer from nearly 50 breweries, most of them from the Northwest, along with cider, wine, and spirits. There will also be gourmet food, including the Tour de Cheese and Chocolate; cooking demonstrations and an educational program; live music; merchandise vendors; and sports on the big-screen television.

19: Brew Woo, Worcester, MA

The Ranch presents Brew Woo, which will take place in the Convention Center at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester. There will be afternoon and evening sessions, each with a selection of craft beers, many of them from local breweries. There will also be live music, and vendors will be on hand.

19: Capitol City International BeerFest, Sacramento, CA

The Sacramento Turn Verein Handball-Racquetball Section presents the third annual Capitol City International BeerFest, which will take place at Turn Verein Hall in Sacramento. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 40 breweries from around the world. There will also be live music and food from local food trucks and caterers. Proceeds will go to FirstAce, a youth player-development program.

19: CityBeat Festival of Beers, San Diego, CA

CityBeat magazine presents the sixth annual CityBeat Festival of Beers, which will take place in front of the Lafayette Hotel in San Diego. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 45 breweries, most of them from southern California. Three live bands are scheduled to perform, and food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available. Proceeds will benefit the San Diego Music Foundation.

19: Greencastle Craft Beer Festival, Greencastle, PA

The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce presents the inaugural Greencastle Craft Beer Festival, which will take place at The John Allison Public House. This afternoon event will feature beer from around 20 breweries, along with live music by the Drew Adams Project and food from Flannery's Tavern.

19: Strong Man Beer Festival, Scottsdale, AZ

The 2014 Strong Man Beer Festival will be held at the Fear Farm Sports Complex in Scottsdale. This is a two-part afternoon event. The first part is a "Strong Man Competition," consisting of exercise challenges. The second part is a beer festival with a bar, live music, food trucks, and a prize raffle.

21-26: St George's Day Beer Festival, Clifton, England

The Victoria, a public house in Clifton, will host a St George's Day Festival. Paul and Dee, the landlords, have selected around 20 ales and ciders from across England for this six-day celebration of the country's patron saint.

23-26: Paisley Real Ale Festival, Paisley, Scotland

The Renfrewshire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 27th annual Paisley Real Ale Festival, which will take place at Town Hall. This event, which organizers describe as "the biggest beer festival in Scotland," will feature more than 160 Real Ales from all around Scotland. There will be an English bar, with beers from the Black Country area; and a Foreign Beer bar with draft and bottled beers from Europe and beyond. Past festivals have also featured live music and food for purchase. This year's festival charity is Finding Your Feet.

24-25: Brewski Festival, Seven Springs, PA

The 14th annual Brewski Festival will be held at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort. This two-evening event will feature more than 100 beers, with an emphasis on those from Pennsylvania and the Northeast. There will be food samples on Friday and a buffet dinner on Saturday.

24-26: Doncaster Beer Festival, Doncaster, England

The Doncaster & District Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 24th annual Doncaster Beer Festival, which will take place at "The Hub" building at Doncaster College. Organizers expect to have 120 beers, featuring beers from Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, and London from breweries close to the first three stages of this year's Tour de France. There will also be live entertainment, and Doncaster College will provide food for purchase.

24-26: Maltings Beer Festival, Newton Abbot, England

The Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA), South West Branch, presents the 2014 Maltings Beer Festival. It will take place at Tuckers Maltings in Newton Abbot. Organizers expect to have around 250 beers. There will also be live music, food for purchase, and merchandise for sale.

24-27: Middle Earth Beer Festival, Hurst Green, England

The sixth Middle Earth Beer Festival will be held at Hurst Green Memorial Hall. This four-day event honors JRR Tolkien, who was a frequent visitor to Stonyhurst College in Hurst Green. It will feature 50 Real Ales and ten craft ciders. There will also be live music, family entertainment, craft demonstrations, and craft stalls.

25-26: Brewski Festival, Seven Springs, PA

Seven Springs Mountain Resort will host its 14th Brewski Festival. This two-evening event will feature more than 100 beers, with an emphasis on beer from Pennsylvania and the Northeast. There will be live entertainment, and a buffet dinner will be served both days.

25: Five Boro Craft Beer Fest, Queens, NY

The 2014 Five Boro Craft Beer Fest will be held at Studio Square NYC in Long Island City in Queens. This evening event will feature more than 100 craft beers from over 30 breweries, all from the five boroughs of New York City. There will also be live music, a homebrewing competition, food from local restaurants, and appearances by members of the brewing community. All proceeds will benefit Grow NYC.

25-26: Guisborough Beer Festival, Guisborough, England

The Cleveland Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the third annual Guisborough Beer Festival, which will take place at the Parish Hall. Organizers expect to have 36 cask-conditioned ales, along with a selection of Real Ciders, perries, and fruit wines.

25: Montana Brewers Spring Fest, Billings, MT

The Montana Brewers Association presents the second annual Montana Brewers Spring Fest, which will take place at a new location, Montana Pavilion at Metrapark in Billings. This evening event will feature the largest-ever collection of Montana-brewed beer, with more than 70 from over 20 breweries. There will also be live music, and food will be available for purchase. 25-27: Oregon Garden Brewfest, Silverton, OR

Growl Movement presents the tenth annual Oregon Garden Brewfest, which will be held in the Grand Hall at the Oregon Garden Resort. This three-day event will feature more than 120 beers, ciders, and meads from over 60 breweries, with an emphasis on Oregon-made products. There will be a beer education program, live bands performing on two stages, and food from local vendors. A Brewer’s Tasting Dinner will take place the Thursday evening before the festival itself.

25-May 4: Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week, Pittsburgh, PA

The Pittsburgh Craft Beer Alliance presents the third annual Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Pittsburgh. Beer week events typically include beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

25-26: Rothwell Beer Festival, Rothwell, England

The fifth annual Rothwell Beer Festival will be held at Holy Trinity Church Parish Hall in Rothwell. Organizers expect to have 44 Real Ales, along with bottled beers, ciders, and perries; and brewers will be in attendance. There will also be live music and food for purchase. Proceeds will go to local charities.

25-27: Tampa Beer Safari Weekend, Tampa Bay Area, FL

Bon Beer Voyage presents the Tampa Beer Safari Weekend. This three-day package tour includes two nights' lodging in Ybor City; six brewery visits, with tastings; two beer dinners featuring locally-brewed beers; two breakfasts; Saturday lunch at Dunedin Brewery; and a visit to historic Tarpon Springs.

26: April Brews Day, Bellingham, WA

April Brews Day will take place at Depot Market Square in Bellingham. This evening marketplace-style event, which is a fund-raiser for the Max Higbee Center, will feature more than 80 beers from over 40 local and regional microbreweries. Food and merchandise vendors will be at the festival site. VIP tickets, with early admission and an opportunity to meet the brewers, are available. There will also be a Brew's Day Brunch on Sunday after the festival itself.

26: Avery Brewing Tap Takeover, 3 locations, CO

Parry's Pizzeria & Bar will host an Avery Brewing Company tap takeover at its locations in Highlands Ranch, Greenwood Village, and Castle Rock. A total of 90 Avery beers, including sour and stout beers, will be available on draft. Food will be served, and there will be prize raffles.

26: Between the Bluffs: Beer, Wine & Cheese Festival, La Crosse, WI

The La Crosse Area Convention and Visitors Bureau presents the 12th annual Between the Bluffs: Beer, Wine & Cheese Festival. It will take place at 1 Oktoberfest Strasse in La Crosse. 26: Dark Lord Day, Munster, IN

Three Floyds Brewing Company presents Dark Lord Day 2014, which will take place outside the brewery. This day-long event, which celebrates the annual release of Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout, will feature beer from a number of breweries from around the world, along with live music and food for purchase. Admission is limited to those holding tickets. Part of the proceeds from Dark Lord Day will be donated to charity.

26: Manayunk Brew Fest Extravaganza, Philadelphia, PA

The Manayunk Brewery, in Philadelphia, will host the 16th annual Manayunk Brew Fest Extravaganza. The theme for this afternoon event is "Simply Saisons," and will feature a collection saison and farmhouse-style beers from overseas, domestic, and local craft breweries. Music will be provided by The Fermentors.

26: McCoole's Spring Beer Festival, Quakertown, PA

Hudson Valley Craft Beer & Fine Food Festival, Inc., and Hunter Mountain present TAP New York 2014, which will take place at Hunter Mountain. Three awards will be given: the Governors' Cup (state's best craft beer), the Matthew Vassar Brewers' Cup (Hudson Valley's best brewery), and the F.X. Matt Memorial Cup (state's best brewery). The Craft Beer Coalition presents the 2014 Visalia Craft Beer Festival, which will take place at Mooney Grove Park. This afternoon event will feature beer from around 40 breweries, with an emphasis on "extreme" beers, along with live music and food for purchase.

26: Wickham Charity Beer Festival, Wickham, England

The 12th annual Wickham Spring Beer Festival will be held at the Wickham Centre. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with more than 40 Real Ales and ciders. In addition, there will be live music and food, including a barbecue staffed by the Meon Valley Lions Club. Proceeds will go to several local charities.

26-27: Zythos Beer Festival, Leuven, Belgium

Zythos, the Flemish beer consumers' organization, presents the 2014 Zythos Beer Festival, which will take place at Brabanthal in Leuven. This two-day event will feature around 300 beers from 100 breweries, and festival-goers are invited to vote for the Consumer Trophy Winner. There will also be a beer shop, food, for purchase, and a tombola. Admission is free.

27: FARE, Warminster, PA

Fermented Productions and the Doylestown Fire Department No. 1 present FARE. It will be held at The Fuge, the site of a former NASA centrifuge, in Warminster. This afternoon event will showcase more than 50 craft breweries, small-batch spirits makers, local wineries, and Philadelphia-area restaurants. Brewers and distillers will be in attendance. 27-May 3: Missoula Craft Beer Week, Missoula, MT

Craft Beer Promotions LLC presents the second annual Missoula Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Missoula. The headline event of this seven-day celebration will be the Garden City Brewfest. There will be other events such as beer dinners, beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

30-May 1: Arden Beer Festival, Haybes-Sur-Meuse, France

The second annual Arden Beer Festival will be held in Haybes-Sur-Meuse, a town in Champagne-Ardenne near the Belgian border. This two-day event will feature a selection of French and Belgian beers. There will also be live music and other entertainment, tours of the local brewery, gourmet food, and beer for sale.
