Beer Weeks 2014

Beer Weeks are city, or regionally organized, multi-event celebrations showcasing craft beer. They've become increasingly popular over the last year, as they offer even more opportunities to quaff great locally brewed beers over the course of several days at different venues and establishments. Although they all appear in the monthly event calendars, we've organized them here alphabetically for you. Click on the location to show the details and a link.



Albuquerque, NM: May 22-31

The fourth annual Albuquerque Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Albuquerque. The headline event of this ten-day celebration is Albuquerque Brews and Blues. There will be more than 60 other events such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

Annapolis, MD: March 29-April 5

Annapolis Beer Week 2014 will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Annapolis. The highlight event of this eight-day celebration of craft beer are Drafts and Laughs and the Maryland Chicken Wing and Beer Festival. There will be many other events, including a Beer Run on opening day, include beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

Arizona - various locations: 15-22

The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild presents the fourth annual Arizona Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout the state. The kickoff event is the Arizona Strong Beer Festival. There will be more than 250 other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

Asheville, NC: May 23-31

The third annual Asheville Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Asheville. This nine-day celebration culminates with the Beer City Festival. Other events will include beer dinners, meet-the-brewer events, pub crawls, trivia contests, beer releases, and special tastings.

Atlanta, GA: October 18-25

The fourth annual Atlanta Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Atlanta. There will be many events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

Austin, TX: October 24-November 2

The fifth annual Austin Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout Austin and the Hill Country. Headline events include a Brewers Bash and a Craft Pride Opening Party. There will be more than 100 other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

Baltimore, MD: October 10-18

The sixth annual Baltimore Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Baltimore. The Opening Tap for this nine-day celebration coincides with Das Best Oktoberfest. There will be many other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, a Baltimore collaboration beer, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, and specially-priced drinks.

Bellingham, WA: September 12-21

The third annual Bellingham Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Bellingham. All of the city’s five craft breweries will take part in this ten-day celebration. There will be many events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

Boston, MA: March 17-23

Beer Advocate magazine presents Boston Beer Week 2014, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in Greater Boston. The headline event is the Extreme Beer Fest (listed separately on the calendar). Other events include beer dinners, meet-the-brewer events, pub crawls, trivia contests, beer releases, and special tastings.

Buffalo, NY: September 26-October 4

The Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association presents the fifth annual Buffalo Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in Erie and Niagara Counties. This ten-day celebration will get underway with a Launch Party at Templeton Landing. There will be around 100 other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

Central Oregon, Bend area: May 23-31

The third annual Central Oregon Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in central Oregon. With 24 breweries, the region ranks near the top in breweries per capita in America. Events during this nine-day celebration include the Bend Ale Trail, along with beer dinners, meet-the-brewer events, pub crawls, trivia contests, beer releases, and special tastings.

Charleston, SC: September 7-13

Charleston Beer Week 2014 will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Charleston. Events will include beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, concerts, games, yoga and beer, and specially-priced drinks.

Charlotte, NC: March 14-22

The fifth annual Charlotte Craft Beer Week, a ten-day "grassroots celebration of craft beer," will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout the Charlotte area. The headline event is the All Ale to the Queen Beer Carnival, which officially closes Beer Week. There will be more than 100 other events including beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

Chicago, IL: May 15-25

The fifth annual Chicago Craft Beer Week will be celebrated at more than 300 breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Chicago. This event's theme is "Chicago: A City of Neighborhoods," with venues divided into multiple neighborhoods plus the suburbs. Chicago Beer Week kicks off with Beer Under Glass, and will wrap up with a closing party. Chico, CA: October 9-18

The Chico News & Review and the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company present the second annual Chico Beer Week. It will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Chico. Beer Week will kick off with the News & Review’s Nor Cal Beers and Bands and culminate with Sierra Nevada’s second annual Single, Fresh, Wet and Wild Harvest Festival. Cincinnati, OH: February 6-13

The third annual Cincinnati Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in Cincinnati, southwest Ohio, and northern Kentucky. The headline events during this celebration are the Taproom Trolley preview tour and collaboration beer produced by 13 area breweries. Cleveland, OH: October 10-18

The sixth annual Cleveland Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout greater Cleveland. The headline events include Brewzilla: A Monster of a Beer Tasting. There will be more than 350 other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks. Proceeds from flagship events will benefit the Malone Scholarship Fund.

Colorado, various locations, CO: March 21-29

The Colorado Brewers Guild presents the 2014 Colorado Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout Colorado. The headline event is Collaboration Fest in Denver. Colorado Springs, CO: April 26-May 4

The inaugural Colorado Springs Craft Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Colorado Springs. Beer Week events include beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

Dallas-Fort Worth and vicinity, TX: October 31-November 9

The 2014 NTX Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and across North Texas. A feature event of this year’s ten-day celebration will be the Brewers Ball. Detroit area, MI: October 16-26

Liquid Table Beverage Solutions presents the sixth annual Detroit Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Detroit. The headline event is the Michigan Brewers Guild Detroit Fall Beer Festival. Frederick, MD: May 30-June 7

The fourth annual Frederick Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Frederick. The headline event is the Maryland Craft Beer Festival, and Beer Week will close with Beerfest at the Farm. Grand Rapids, MI: February 16-22

Liquid Table Beverage Solutions presents Grand Rapids Beer Week 2014, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Grand Rapids. The headline event of this celebration is the Michigan Brewers Guild's Winter Beer Festival, along with pre- and post-festival parties. Howard County, MD: April 1-8

Howard County Beer Week 2014 will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in the county. The eight-day celebration will kick off with a Tap Party Tuesday evening. Kalamazoo, MI: January 11-18

The fourth annual Kalamazoo Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Kalamazoo. Knoxville, TN: June 14-21

Knoxville Craft Beer Week 2014 will be celebrated at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Knoxville. The headline event of this eight-day celebration is the Knoxville Brew Fest. There will be many other events such as beer dinners and brunches, tap takeovers, releases and special tastings, beer education, trivia competitions, and outdoor events, including a 5-K run and kayaking on the Tennessee River.

Lansing, MI; June 20-28

I'm a Beer Hound and Motor City Tour Company present the third annual Lansing Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Lansing. The headline event of this nine-day celebration is the Lansing Beer Fest. Lehigh Valley, PA: February 16-23

The second annual Lehigh Valley Beer Week will take place at at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in the Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton areas. Louisville, KY: September 12-20

Los Angeles and Orange Counties, CA

The Los Angeles County Brewers Guild presents the sixth annual LA Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. This nine-day-long celebration will begin with a kickoff event in downtown Los Angeles. Madison, WI: May 2-11

Madison Craft Beer Week 2014 will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Madison. This ten-day, two-weekend celebration will promote Madison’s craft beer culture and educate people about it. Missoula, MT: April 27-May 3

Craft Beer Promotions LLC presents the second annual Missoula Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Missoula. The headline event of this seven-day celebration will be the Garden City Brewfest. Nashville, TN: June 23-29

Rhizome Productions presents the third annual Nashville Craft Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Nashville. The headline event is the East Nashville Beer Festival. Nevada Beer Weeks, Las Vegas, Reno, and other locations in NV: May 19-31

The fourth annual Nevada Beer Weeks will take place at hundreds of breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in Las Vegas and Reno, as well as at other locations in Nevada. The headline event of this 13-day celebration is Springs Preserve's Brews & Blues Festival. New Hampshire, various locations: June 21-28

New Hampshire Craft Beer Week 2014 will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout the state. The headline event of this eight-day celebration is the New England Beer Festival. New York, NY: February 21 - March 2

The New York City Brewers Guild presents the sixth Annual New York City Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in the city. All 12 of the city's craft breweries will take part. Signature events include the Opening Night Bash and the Closing Party. North Carolina, various locations: April 1-30

Oklahoma City, OK: May 11-18

The seventh annual Philly Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Philadelphia. It traditionally kicks off with the Opening Tap. St. Louis, MO: July 28 - August 3

San Diego County, CA: November 7-16

The sixth annual San Diego Beer Week will take place at various locations breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in San Diego County. The headline event of this ten-day celebration is the San Diego Brewers Guild Festival. San Francisco Bay Area, CA: February 7-16

The San Francisco Brewers Guild presents San Francisco Beer Week 2014, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout the Bay Area. Headline events during this celebration include the Opening Gala, The Bistro's Double IPA Festival, and the Toronado Barleywine Festival. Seattle, WA: May 8-18

The sixth annual Seattle Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Seattle. The 11-day celebration of craft beer kicks off with Cask-O-Rama. Two events, Beer and Brats in the Outfield and the Bacon and Beer Classic, be held at Safeco Field. South Shore, Cape & Islands, MA: May 3-10

GreatBrewers.com presents the fourth annual South Shore, Cape & Islands Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in eastern Massachusetts. Tampa Bay Area, FL: March 1-9

The headline event will be the Florida Brewers Guild Beer Festival. Toronto, ON, Canada September 12-20

Toronto Beer Week 2014 will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in Toronto. Around 30 breweries will participate in this year’s nine-day celebration of craft beer. There will be more than 100 events, including beer dinners and beer-pairing events, beer cruises, beer history tours, technical and educational seminars, a scavenger hunt, and pub crawls.

United States - nationwide: May 12-18

The Brewers Association presents American Craft Beer Week 2014, which will take place at establishments across the country. American Craft Beer Week, which kicks off the summer craft beer season, will be celebrated by hundreds of craft brewers and beer retailers, thousands of beer fans, and a congressional resolution honoring the nation's craft brewing industry.

Upper Peninsula of MI: Spetember 1-6

A Pint Above, LLC, presents the third annual U.P Craft Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This six-day celebration will culminate with the Michigan Brewers Guild's U.P. Beer Festival. Vancouver, BC, Canada: May 30-June 7

The fifth annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in metropolitan Vancouver. This nine-day celebration will consist of daily headline events, including the VCBW Beer Festival. Victoria, BC, Canada: March 1-9

The Victoria Beer Week Society presents the 2014 Victoria Beer Week. It will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Victoria. This nine-day celebration will kick off with a Cask Night at the Victoria Public Market, and will close with a Brewmaster's Brunch at the Atrium. Washington, DC: August 17-24

The sixth annual D.C. Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Washington, D.C. Wilmington, DE: November 1-8

Out & About magazine presents the fourth annual Wilmington Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, and other venues in and around Wilmington. The headline event will be a Kickoff Party at the Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant. Other events will include prix-fixe dinners, tap takeovers, meet-the-brewer events, and special tastings.

Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, MI: August 1-9

Imperial Beverage, Visit Ypsi, the Ann Arbor Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and Rave Associates present the inaugural Ypsi-Arbor Beer Week. It will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor.
