May 17-2: Czech Beer Festival, Prague, Czech Republic

The fifth annual Czech Beer Festival will be held at the Pva Letnany Exhibition Centre in Prague. The festival, which organizers describe as "the largest gastronomic event in the Czech Republic," will feature more than 70 Czech beer served in custom-made glass mugs; a wide range of food from pork and beef butchers, delicatessens, and confectioners; servers dressed in traditional Czech folk costumes; and live music on stage in three tents.

May 24-3: Asheville Beer Week, Asheville, NC

The inaugural Asheville Beer Week will take place at various locations in and around Asheville. Events include the Brews Cruise, a brewery tour taking place daily; a scavenger hunt; beer dinners and food and beer pairings; a beer knowledge quiz; the Beer 101" educational program; sports and games; and special tastings. The celebration culminates with the Beer City Festival (listed separately on this calendar).

May 28-3: Boston Beer Week, Boston, MA

Beer Advocate magazine presents the 2012 Boston Beer Week, which will take place at scores of locations within the 128 Belt. This seven-day celebration of craft beer from Boston and beyond will be anchored by the American Craft Beer Fest (listed separately on the calendar). Other events are expected to include beer dinners, brewer meet-and-greets, beer releases, and store tastings.

May 31-2: Great Grampian Beer Festival, Aberdeen, Scotland

The Aberdeen, Grampian & Northern Isles Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 26th annual Great Grampian Beer Festival, which will take place in the Richard Donald Stand in Pittodrie Stadium. The festival will feature "the longest bar in North East Scotland," with 100 beers including "Saturday Specials" along with cider and perry.

May 31-2: Harwich Jubeerlee 2012, Dovercourt, England

The Tendring Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale present Harwich Jubeerlee 2012, which will take place at the Kingsway Hall in Dovercourt. This one-off event, celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, will feature more than 30 Real Ales plus over ten Real Ciders, all from Great Britain.

May 31-10: Norwich City of Ale, Norwich, England

The city of Norwich, England, will host the 2012 Norwich City of Ale. Hundreds of Real Ales will be available at 30 pubs and other outlets in Norwich. Last year's events included a Launch Party; a Brewers' Market; a Closing Party and Awards Ceremony on the final day of the celebration; and many other events, including pub quizzes, live music, special food and beer pairings, and "Meet the Brewer" evenings.

May 31-2: Southampton Beer Festival, Southampton, England

The Southern Hampshire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 16th annual Southampton Beer Festival, which will take place at the Guildhall. There will be approximately 90 Real Ales and 16 ciders and perries; an extensive range of bottled beers from Britain, the Continent, and overseas; and wine by the glass. The festivities will also include live music at three of the five sessions; hot food, sandwiches, and snacks; and a family room.

May 31-2: Stockport Beer & Cider Festival, Stockport, England

The Stockport and South Manchester Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 26th annual Stockport Beer & Cider Festival, which will take place at Edgeley Park. More than 100 beers, ciders, and perries, including "something special for Saturday," will be available. Recent editions of this event have also included food and live entertainment. The festival is a fund-raiser for charity.

1-2: American Craft Beer Fest, Boston, MA

Beer Advocate magazine and Harpoon Brewery present the 2012 American Craft Beer Fest, which will take place at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. The festival, which organizers describe as "the East Coast's largest celebration of American beer," will consist of three tasting sessions, each with more than 500 craft beers from over 100 American brewers, along with a beer education program.

1-4: Aughton Beer Festival, Aughton, England

The Derby Arms, a CAMRA award-winning public house located in Aughton, will host its inaugural Beer Festival. This Diamond Jubilee weekend event will feature more than 30 Real Ales, along with live music from local groups and singers.

1-3: Bierbörse, Schwerin, Germany

The second Schwerin edition of Bierboerse, part of a series of beer festivals held across Germany, will take place in the city center. Hundreds of beers, including hard-to-find German microbrews, will be served in a Biergarten atmosphere. Festivities also include food and live entertainment, breweriana, and artisans' stands. The Bierboerse website is entirely in German.

1-4: Booze on the Ouse, St Ives, England

The Huntingdonshire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 38th "Booze on the Ouse" Beer Festival, which will take place in the St Neots Diamond Jubilee Beer Tent in Regatta Meadows. Sixteen Real Ales from breweries in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire will be available, along with a range of German and Czech bottled beers and a selection of locally-made ciders and perries.

1: Brew at the Zoo, Nashville, TN

Ajax Turner Company presents the 2012 Brew at the Zoo, which will take place at the Nashville Zoo. This evening event will feature beer from more than 25 craft breweries, local food trucks, zoo animals, and live entertainment. All net proceeds will benefit the zoo.

1-3: Collingham Real Ale Festival, Collingham, England

The second annual Collingham Real Ale Festival will be held at the Collingham & Linton Sports Association Club. The Real Ale Festival is part of the weekend-long Collingham Jubilee celebration. Organizers expect to have 20 Yorkshire Real Ales plus a full bar, and food will be served. There will be a VIP "meet the brewer" session Friday evening; two performances of the Collingham Music Pageant on Saturday; and a six-a-side football match on Sudnay. Admission to the festival is free on Saturday or Sunday. Part of the profits will go to the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association and other local charities.

1-3: Glastonwick 2012, Coombes, England

Punk musician Attila the Stockbroker and cask beer advocate Alex Hall present the 17th annual Glastonwick, which will take place at Church Farm in Coombes. This three-day event, which organizers describe as a "beer, music, poetry and more beer festival," will feature 80 cask-conditioned ales, along with a selection of ciders and perries; 28 musical and poetic acts; and food, including chili and vegetarian dishes and breakfast for campers.

1-5: Jubilee Weekend Beer Festival, Great Dunmow, England

The Angel and Harp, a bar and restaurant located in Great Dunmow, will host a Jubilee Weekend Beer Festival. The festival, which celebrates the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, will feature local ales and ciders, along with live music.

1-2: Keswick Beer Festival, Keswick, England

The Keswick Rugby Club and Keswick Lions Club present the 2012 Keswick Beer Festival, which will take place at the Rugby Club. Last year's festival featured more than 250 beers and ciders; performances by six live bands; and food, including sausage baguettes, beef burgers, pork rolls and chicken curries. Proceeds will go to the Rugby Club and Lions Club charities.

1-3: Kohler Festival of Beer, Kohler, WI

The fourth annual Kohler Festival of Beer will be held in the village of Kohler. Recent editions of this festival have featured "Cheers to Beers" tasting sessions on Saturday and Sunday, a "Eggs and Kegs" beer brunch, a pub pairings seminar, a golf tournament, a homebrewing competition, and a "Blues, Brews & BBQ" party.

1-5: Little Brown Jug Beer Festival, Chiddingstone, England

The Little Brown Jug, a public house located in Chiddingstone, will host a Beer Festival. This five-day event, which celebrates the Royal Jubilee, will feature a selection of beers and ciders; food, including a hog roast and barbecue; and live music.

1-2: Magic City Brewfest, Birmingham, AL

Free the Hops! presents the sixth annual Magic City Brewfest, which will be held at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark in Birmingham. More than 200 beers, including rare, specialty, and cask-conditioned beers never before seen in Alabama, will be poured. The J. Clyde will return to serve beer from a fire truck. Two live bands will perform each day, and food will be sold by local restaurants and canteens. VIP tickets, with a special selection of beers and high-end food, are available.

1-5: Navigation Inn Beer Festival, Sowerby Bridge, England

The Navigation Inn, a public house in Sowerby Bridge, will host a Beer Festival. Twenty Real Ales will be available, along with the pub's regular selection of lagers and wines.

1: Opening Tap, Philadelphia, PA

The third annual Opening Tap will be held at the Independence Visitor Center in Philadelphia. This evening event, which opens Philadelphia Beer Week, will feature "ample samples from the region's top breweries"; the arrival of the Hammer of Glory and the ceremonial tapping of the first keg; special guests, including Mayor Nutter; beer-friendly food for purchase; and live music. VIP tickets, with early admission, a selection of special beers, and complimentary food, are available.

1-10: Philly Beer Week, Philadelphia, PA

Philly Beer Week will take place at numerous locations in and around Philadelphia. Recent Beer Weeks have included a number of signature events, including the Opening Tap; Smoke 'Em If Yous Got 'Em, a beer and barbecue festival; Forum of the Gods, a panel discussion with the top names in beer culture; the Jackson Tutored Tastings; and Zythos America. In addition, there were hundreds of other events including beer dinners, special tastings, releases, and meet-the-brewer evenings.

1-2: Two Brothers Hop Juice Festival, Aurora, IL

Two Brothers Brewing presents the fourth annual Hop Juice Festival, which will be held at Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora. The festival, which has been expanded to two days, will feature beer from Two Brothers and a number of guest breweries, live entertainment, food and merchandise vendors, and a homebrew competition. VIP tickets, with exclusive access to the Two Brothers Tap House, bar, and patio, finger foods, and a special dinner buffet, are available.

1: ZooBrew, the Oregon Zoo Brewers Festival, Portland, OR

ZooBrew, the Oregon Zoo Brewers Festival, will be held at the Oregon Zoo in Portland. This evening event will feature beer from more than 30 regional microbreweries, along with live entertainment by Cool-Aide. Food will be available for purchase in the zoo's restaurants. Proceeds from the festival will support the zoo's programs and exhibits.

2: Amnesia Single Hop Fest, Portland, OR

Portland's Amnesia Brewing Company will host its second annual Single Hop Fest. This all-day event will feature beer from several local breweries, all made with a single hop varietal. Franks from Olympic Provisions, brats from Old Country Sausage, and the brewery's own cheeseburgers will be available for purchase.

2: Beer City Beer Festival, Asheville, NC

The Asheville Brewers Alliance and Brewgrass present the 2012 Beer City Festival, which will be held at Roger McGuire Green in Asheville. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 25 North Carolina breweries, along with live entertainment.

2: Beerfest, Santa Rosa, CA

The 21st annual Beerfest, "The Good One," will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Santa Rosa. This afternoon event will feature beer from 40 Northern California breweries, along with gourmet food from Sonoma County purveyors and music by local performers. The festival is a benefit for Face to Face, the Sonoma County AIDS Alliance.

2: City Pages Beer Festival, Minneapolis, MN

City Pages magazine presents the 20th annual City Pages Beer Festival, which will take place at 10th and Hennepin, near the downtown theater district. This evening outdoor event will feature beer from around 40 domestic and imported breweries; live music by PopRocks, accordionist Bill Koncar, and the Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band; and free mechanical bull rides. Part of the proceeds will go to the St. Paul Jaycees.

2-5: Collingham Real Ale Festival, Collingham, England

The 2012 Collingham Real Ale Festival will be held on the grounds of the Collingham and Linton Sports Association. The festival, which is part of the weekend-long Collingham Jubilee, will feature a selection of 20 locally-brewed beers, including special festival beers, along with a full bar. Food will also be served.

2: Davis Beerfest, Davis, CA

The eighth annual Davis Beerfest will be held at the The Sudwerk Brewery in Davis. Recent editions of this festival were afternoon events with 100 beers from more than 30 breweries, tours of the brewery, appearances by local brewers, live music, food, and a raffle. All proceeds will go to the Citizens Who Care Foundation.

2-3: Glastonbury Beer Festival, Glastonbury, England

The Tor Rugby Football Club will host the third annual Glastonbury Beer Festival, which will take place at the Clubhouse and Grounds. This two-day event will feature a selection of around 40 beers and ciders, live entertainment both days, food for purchase, and children's activities.

2-3: Great Japan Beer Festival, Tokyo, Japan

The Japan Craft Beer Association presents the Great Japan Beer Festival 2012-Tokyo, which will take place at Ebisu Gerden Hall. More than 120 microbrewed beers will be available for sampling.

2-4: Hullabaloo Festival, Cheltenham, England

The 2012 Hullabaloo Festival will be held at Burley Fields Lakes in Cheltenham. This three-day, family-friendly celebration of Gloucestershire will feature a wide selection of local Real Ales and ciders. There will also be hundreds of attractions, including a Main Stage hosting ten local and national bands per day; a large performance tent that hosting acoustic music, poetry, comedy, and children's acts; locally produced food and drink stalls; and a craft market, arts and crafts workshops, and exhibitions from local arts and community groups.

2: International Great Beer Expo @ the Philadelphia Navy Yards, Philadelphia, PA

Starfish Junction Production presents the fourth annual International Great Beer Expo @ the Philadelphia Navy Yards. This afternoon event, which will be held under a heated tent on the Marine Parade Grounds, will feature more than 100 beers from over 50 breweries. The festivities will also include a beer education program and food and merchandise vendors. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

2: Liquid History--A Celebration of Craft Beer, Naperville, IL

The Naper Settlement, a museum located in Naperville, will host Liquid History--A Celebration of Craft Beer, which will take place at the Visitors Center and Grounds. Attendees at this evening event are invited to sample beer from a number of leading breweries, talk to brewery representatives, have appetizers with their beer samples, walk the grounds of the settlement, and learn the history of Naperville's Stenger Brewery. VIP tickets, with early admission and a gift pack, are available.

2: Milwaukee Beer Barons World of Beer Festival, Menomonee Falls, WI

The Milwaukee Beer Barons present the ninth annual World of Beer Festival, which will take place at Schwabenhof Pavillion in Menomonee Falls. This afternoon event, which organizers describe as "the best beer festival you never heard of," features more than 200 beers from over 80 breweries; a homebrewing demonstration; beer memorabilia on display, a guest speaker; and live music. The festival is a benefit for a number of brewing-related organizations. This festival sold out last year.

2: Mountain Brewers Festival, Idaho Falls, ID

The North American Brewers Association presents the 18th annual Mountain Brewers Festival, which will take place at Sandy Downs Racecourse in Idaho Falls. The rain-or-shine event, held "under the big top," is described as "one of the nation's premier judging festivals." Recent editions of this festival have featured beer from about 80 breweries, along with a food court and live music.

2: Pennsylvania Microbrewers Fest, Pittsburgh, PA

The Pennsylvania Brewing Company, located in Pittsburgh, will host the 16th annual Pennsylvania Microbrewers Fest. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with beer from more than 25 microbreweries; live music by the Flow Band and Big Leg Emma; a food tent with pulled pork sandwiches, grilled sausages, and hot German potato salad; and pretzel necklaces for sale. Part of the proceeds will go to the Community Alliance of Spring Garden and East Deutschtown and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

2: Saratoga Beer and Music Fest, Greenfield Center, NY

The inaugural Saratoga Beer and Music Fest will be held on the grounds of the Saratoga Polo Association in Greenfield Center. This afternoon event will feature beer sampling, a homebrew competition, and live music by Will Severin and New Regime. The festival is a benefit for The Creative Place International.

2: Springs Preserve Brews & Blues Festival, Las Vegas, NV

Springs Preserve, a cultural institution located in Las Vegas, will host the third annual Springs Preserve Brews & Blues Festival, which will take place at the Ampitheater. This afternoon/evening event will feature beer from a wide range of domestic and international breweries (more than 20 were represented at recent festivals), along with live performances by four blues bands on the main festival stage.

2: Taste of Brews in the Inland Empire, Riverside, CA

Taste of Brews in the Inland Empire will take place at White Park, a historic park in downtown Riverside. There will be two tasting sessions, each with dozens of craft-brewed beers, including seasonals, paired with cuisine from local eateries (free samples while they last). The festivities will also include live entertainment and free snacks.

2: WYES International Beer Tasting, New Orleans, LA

The 2012 WYES International Beer Tasting will be held at the Riverfront Arena in New Orleans. This evening event, which is fund-raiser for WYES-TV, will feature "a quarter mile of beer sampling," with more than 250 beers available. There will also be a private beer sampling at Fair Grounds Race Course and Slots the evening before the tasting itself.

2: Zoo Brew, Santa Barbara, CA

The Santa Barbara Zoo will host its third annual Zoo Brew. This afternoon event, which is a fund-raiser for the animals, will feature tastings from more than 20 breweries from throughout the region and beyond, special animal encounters, a special Zoo Brew menu, and merchandise available for sale. VIP tickets, with early admission and complimentary pub-fare appetizers, are available.

3: Willow Grove Craft Beer Festival, Willow Grove, PA

The Willow Grove VFW and Willow Grove Community Services Inc., present the inaugural Willow Grove Craft Beer Festival, which will be held at at the Plaza at Willow Grove Park. This afternoon event will feature 100 beers on tap from more than 45 domestic and international breweries. The festivities will also include theme areas with entertainment, raffles, and contests. The festival supports Willow Grove Community Services Inc.

5-9: Colchester Real Ale and Cider Festival, Colchester, England

The Colchester Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 27th annual Colchester Real Ale and Cider Festival, which will take place at the Arts Centre, a historic deconsecrated church. Organizers expect to have more than 100 beers and ciders from around the U.K., along with ciders, perries, wines, and draft and bottled Belgian beers. There will also be live music.

7-9: Beckenham Beer and Cider Festival, Beckenham, England

The Bromley Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 2012 Beckenham Beer and Cider Festival, which will take place at the Beckenham Rugby Club. Organizers expect to have 70 beers, ciders, and perries; music at Friday's evening session and Saturday's lunchtime session; food at all sessions; and all Euro 2012 football matches on television.

7-10: Beerfest Asia, Singapore

The fourth annual Beerfest Asia will take place at the Marina Promenade (Singapore's F1 track). This four-day event consists of a trade show (June 7) and a beer festival (June 8-10). This year's festival will feature an expanded selection of around 350 beers from all over the world, along with cider, wine, and spirits; food; two international tribute bands, along with Singapore bands; four international comedy acts; bar games; daily prize raffles; and the Miss Beerfest Asia Pageant. Last year's festival sold out.

7-9: Great Welsh Beer & Cider Festival, Cardiff, Wales

The Campaign for Real Ale presents the Great Welsh Beer & Cider Festival, which will be held at the Motorpoint Arena, formerly the Cardiff International Arena. The festival venue, which organizers describe as "the biggest pub in Wales," will feature around 160 Real Ales from throughout the UK, including many from Wales, along with over 40 ciders and a selection of foreign beers. The Champion Beer of Wales competition will take place Friday evening. There will be entertainment at both Friday sessions and Saturday afternoon, and locally-sourced food will be available.

7-17: PDX Beer Week, Portland, OR

The second annual PDX Beer Week will take place at bars, restaurants, and other establishments in Portland, Oregon. This 11-day celebration of craft beer will begin with a kickoff party at Spirit of 77 where the official 2012 beer, India Red Lager, will be released. One of Beer Week's headline events is the Portland Fruit Beer Festival (listed separately on the calendar). Other events will include beer dinners, beer and food pairings, special tastings and releases, and educational presentations.

8-9: Alton Summer Beer Festival, Alton, England

The Triple fff Brewery presents the 2012 Alton Summer Beer Festival, which will take place at Alton College. This two-day, three-session event will feature beer from more than 25 breweries, live music, and a variety of food for purchase. Proceeds will benefit a number of local charities.

8-9: Avon Valley Railway Real Ale Festival, Bitton, England

The Avon Valley Railway will host the ninth annual Real Ale Festival. The two-day, four-session event will take place at "The Railway," a covered area with views of the platform and tracks. Organizers expect to have dozens of Real Ales from local breweries "as well as a little farther afield." Food will be served at the Station's buffet.

8-9: Fremont Toyota Lander Brew Festival, Lander, WY

Fremont Toyota presents the 2012 Lander Brew Festival, which will take place at a new venue, the soccer fields next door to Lander Valley High School. The festival, which has been expanded to two days, will feature an assortment of microbrewed beer (recent festivals have featured around 50 beers from more than 15 breweries). The festivities will also include live music; a bicycle race; and food, including burgers, brats, and pizza. Fremont Toyota and the Visions Program at Wyoming Life Resource Center will provide free transportation from the festival to any destination in Lander.

8-9: Molalla Brew Fest, Molalla, OR

The 2012 Molalla Brew Fest will be held at the corner of Ross Street and Molalla Avenue. This two-day festival, held in conjunction with Molalla's Second Friday, will feature more than 25 taps, beer, wine, hard cider, and draft root beer. There will also be live music from five bands and food concessions.

8-12: Mondial de la Biere, Montreal, QC, Canada

The 19th annual Mondial de la Biere returns to Place Bonaventure and the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure in downtown Montreal. Organizers expect to have about 500 beers from around the world, including hard-to-find beers and with beers specially brewed for the festival; Quebec cider and other food specialties from the province; the Mbeer series of conferences and seminars; and a Silent Dance Esplanade.

8-9: SAVOR: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience, Washington, DC

The Brewers Association presents the 2012 edition of SAVOR: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience, which will take place at the National Building Museum. This event will feature more than 120 craft beers from 65 independent breweries, with brewery owners and brewmasters on hand; a reception-style presentation of sweet and savory foods; and directed tasted salons with the top names in beer and food. This event is likely to sell out.

8-9: Snowmass Chili Pepper & Brew Fest in Snowmass Village , CO

Snowmass Village will host its ninth annual Snowmass Chili Pepper & Brew Fest. This two-day event will feature beer from more than 30 breweries from around the world; the Snowmass Summer Ale competition for seasonal beer on Friday evening, followed by a Grand Tasting on Saturday; an International Chili Society-sanctioned competition in both red and green categories and a salsa competition; and live music all weekend against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

8-9: Stratford-upon-Avon Beer Festival, Stratford-upon-Avon, England

The Shakespeare Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the sixth annual Stratford-upon-Avon Beer Festival, which will take place at Stratford-on-Avon Racecourse. The event, whose theme is "Local and Coastal," will feature more than 55 Real Ales, along with 20 ciders. Hot and cold food will be available at all sessions, and there will be entertainment on Saturday. Camping and caravan facilities are available on the racecourse. Proceeds from the festival will support the Shakespeare Hospice.

9: Beer, Bourbon & Barbecue Festival, Richmond, VA

Trigger Agency, LLC, presents the Richmond stop on the Beer, Bourbon & Barbecue Festival tour, which will take place at Exhibition Hall in the Richmond Raceway Complex. This afternoon event will feature unlimited sampling of 60 beers and 40 bourbons; live rock, blues, and bluegrass music; barbecue, Southern specialties, and other foods; and seminars led by master distillers, brewmasters, and pit masters. VIP tickets, with early admission, an expanded selection of bacon dishes, and special stage access, are available.

9: Big Lick Beertopia, Roanoke, VA

The Roanoke Jaycees present the 2012 Big Lick Beertopia, which will take place at Lewis Gale Field, home of the Salem Red Sox. This afternoon event will feature beer from around 20 breweries, a homebrew competition, music by live bands, and food. VIP tickets, with all-you-can-eat food and beverages, are available. Proceeds will benefit local charities.

9: Bitton Sports and Social Club Beer Festival, Bitton, England

Brizzle Beer Festivals presents the inaugural Bitton Sports and Social Club Beer Festival, which will take place on the club's grounds. There will be afternoon and evening sessions, each with 22 ales from around the country, along with five traditional ciders. The Gecko Blasters bands will perform in the evening; and food, including a hog roast, will be available at both sessions. The festival is a charitable event benefitting the club and new pavilion.

9: Bloomington Craft Beer Fest, Bloomington, IN

The Brewers of Indiana Guild presents the second annual Bloomington Craft Beer Fest, which will take place on the grounds of the Woolery Mill, a closed limestone mill that used in the filming the movie Breaking Away. This afternoon/evening event will feature more than 120 beers from more than 40 breweries, along with live music and food from local restaurants. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special gift, are available.

9: Brookhaven Beer Fest, Brookhaven, GA

The 2012 Brookhaven Beer Fest will be held at Apple Valley Park in Brookhaven, behind the MARTA station. This afternoon/evening event will feature more than 150 beers to sample, along with music from two rock bands. Part of the proceeds will go to the Brookhaven Arts Alliance.

9: Burning Can Beer Festival, Lyons, CO

Oskar Blues Brewery presents the 2012 Burning Can Beer Festival, which will take place at Bohn Park in Lyons. 9: Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest, Paso Robles, CA

The inaugural Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest will be held at Frontier Town on the California Midstate Fairgrounds in Pasa Robles. Organizers are assembling a beer lineup from domestic and perhaps foreign breweries, with brewers or brewery representatives on hand. The festivities will also include live music and food from Central Coast restaurants. The festival is a benefit for the Pioneer Day committee, which is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Paso Robles.

9: Five Alarm Mountain Madness Chili Cook-Off & BrewFest, Farmington, PA

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort will host the third Chili Cook-Off & BrewFest. This daytime event is an International Chili Society-sanctioned regional cook-off, with competitions in Red Chili, Chili Verde, and Salsa categories; and the judging panel will include Steelers and Penguins players. 9: Great Northern Beer Festival, Eagle River, WI

The Great Northern Beer Festival will be held at Festival Grounds at Hi-Pines Campground in Eagle River. Recent editions of this festival have been afternoon events with beer from around 30 Wisconsin and Upper Midwest breweries; homebrew from the Northwoods LUSH Inc., Club; and food and snacks. Proceeds will benefit local charities.

9: Houston Beer Festival, Houston, TX

The second Houston Beer Festival will be held in Hermann Square Park, on the lawns of City Hall. This all-day event, which will have a Bourbon Street theme, will feature a wide variety of beers (there were about 150 last year), including a beer brewed especially for the festival. The festivities will also include live music on three stages, beer-related workshops and lectures , and food vendors. This year's festival charity is the Young Leader Scholarship program.

9: Manayunk Summer Classic, Philadelphia, PA

The 2012 Manayunk Summer Classic will be held will take place on Levering Street and in parking lot "C" (at Main and Levering Streets) in Philadelphia. The festival, which is a Philly Beer Week anchor event, will consist of two tasting sessions, each with more than 60 craft beers from around the world and food from the restaurants of Manayunk. The Burnside Brewing Company will host the second annual Portland Fruit Beer Festival. 9: Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho Microbrew Festival, Chico, CA

Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho presents its 17th annual Microbrew Festival, which will take place at Manzanita Place in Chico. This afternoon event, which is the primary fund-raiser for the Soroptomists, will feature beer from more than 40 breweries, live music from two bands, food, and prize raffles. This festival has sold out each of the last seven years.

The Miner's Arms, a public house in Bristol, will host a Beer, Cider, and Music Festival. The Braintree Lions Club and the North West Essex Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale present the eighth annual Braintree Real Ale Festival, which will take place at the Braintree Institute. Trigger Agency, LLC, presents the National Harbor stop on the Beer, Bourbon & Barbecue Festival tour, which will take place under tents at National Harbor. The Washington Beer Commission presents the 2012 Washington Brewers Festival, which this year moves to a new venue, King County’s Marymoor Park in Redmond. The 17th annual Wyoming Brewers Festival will be held at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza. 16: Beer & Gear Fest, Ohiopyle, PA

Wilderness Voyageurs will host the 11th annual Beer & Gear Fest. The seventh annual Ohio Brew Week Festival will take place at various locations in around Athens. This year's festival, which has been moved from July to June, is a celebration of Ohio's craft brewing industry with more than 100 beers from the state's microbreweries. More than 20 establishments took part past year in events that included a "brew-b-q" cook-off, a brewers' gourmet feast, the "brew choo-choo," special tastings, and a homebrewing competition.

The 14th Hückeswagener edition of Bierboerse, part of a series of beer festivals held across Germany, will take place in Völkerschlachtdenkmal. Hundreds of beers, including hard-to-find German microbrews, will be served in a Biergarten atmosphere. Festivities also include food and live entertainment, breweriana, and artisans' stands. 22-24: Celtic Fling and Highland Games, Manheim, PA

The 14th annual Celtic Fling and Highland Games will be held on the grounds of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire in Manheim. The Fort Collins Downtown Business Association presents the 23rd annual Colorado Brewers' Festival, which take place in the city's historic Old Town district. This afternoon event will feature beer an all-Colorado lineup of 40 breweries, including several from the immediate area. There will be a variety of live music both days of the festival.

23-24: The Festival, Worcester, MA

12% Imports and Shelton Brothers present The Festival, which will take place at Mechanics Hall in Worcester. This two-day event is unusual in that the focus will be on small-batch brewers and cider and mead makers from more than a dozen countries. More than 300 beers, ciders, and meads from over 60 artisans will be available, and producer's representatives will be on hand. Food trucks have been invited to the festival.

23: Founders Fest, Grand Rapids, MI

Founders Brewing Company presents the fifth annual Founders Fest, which will take place in front of the brewery in Grand Rapids. This outdoor afternoon/evening beer and music festival will feature a beer tent, where Founders beer will be poured; live music from more than ten acts; food from local restaurants; and an expanded "Local Artists Row," showcasing area artists and designers.

23: Garden State Craft Brewers Guild Beer Festival, Camden, NJ

The Garden State Craft Brewers Guild presents the 16th annual Garden State Craft Brewers Beer Festival. It will take place aboard the U.S.S. New Jersey, the Navy's largest battleship, which is docked in Camden. This afternoon event will feature beer from 19 New Jersey breweries, along with food and live music by the Cabin Dogs. VIP tickets, with early admission, a special beer sampling and a meet-the-brewers session, are available.

23: Gorge Blues & Brews, Stevenson, WA

The 19th annual Gorge Blues & Brews will be held at the Skamania County Fairgrounds in Stevenson. The 16th annual Great European Beerfest will be held at the Sharp Edge Beer Emporium in Pittsburgh. This two-day event, which organizers describe as America's "only all-European Beerfest," features about 135 beers, including 40 from Belgium. Importers' representatives will be on hand, and there will be homemade food, entertainment, and a drawing for prizes at all three sessions.

23: Knoxville Brew Fest, Knoxville, TN

The second annual Knoxville Brewfest will be held at the Southern Railway Terminal in downtown Knoxville. This afternoon/evening outdoor event will feature beer "of all colors, styles and tastes" (more than 75 breweries were represented last year). Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. McMenamins Breweries presents the 15th annual McMenamins Barley Cup, which will take place at Thompson Brewery & Public House, a historic structure in Salem. This event is a competition among McMenamins brewers, whose beer style will be determined by a random drawing. The winner of the Barley Cup, chosen by the Capital City Homebrewers Club, will represent McMenamins at the Holiday Ale Festival in Portland in December. 28-30: Bromsgrove Beer Festival, Bromsgrove, England

The Redditch and Bromsgrove branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the tenth annual Bromsgrove Beer Festival, which will take place on the grounds of the Bromsgrove Rugby Football Club. The festival will feature more than 100 Real Ales, along with 45 ciders and perries, and a selection of fruit wines. A wide range of food will be served. The festival will host the West Midlands Region Mild Ale of the Year Competition.

28-30: CAMRA Scottish Real Ale Festival, Edinburgh, Scotland

The Scottish branches of the Campaign for Real Ale present the 2012 CAMRA Scottish Real Ale Festival. The festival, which will be held at The Edinburgh Corn Exchange, will feature a wide selection of Scottish beers (there were more than 140 beers from over 35 breweries at last year's festival) along with live entertainment.

29-July 1: Beer Passion Weekend, Antwerp, Belgium

Beer Passion magazine presents Beer Passion Weekend, which will take place at Groenplaats in downtown Antwerp. This three-day event will feature around 200 beers, most of them brewed in Flanders, along with beer cuisine and musical entertainment. The Beer Passion magazine website is entirely in Dutch.

29-30: Audacious Beer Celebration, Hartland, WI

The Lake Country Rotary Club presents the 2012 Audacious Beer Celebration, which will take place at Nixon Park in Hartland. Friday's events include the World's Greatest Beer & Cheese Celebration in the afternoon and a Friday Flights tasting in evening, along with open taps and live music in the evening. Saturday evening's Night of the Barrels Party will feature beer on tap, food vendors, and live music.

29-July 1: Bierbörse, Hückeswagener, Germany

The second Hückeswagener edition of Bierboerse, part of a series of beer festivals held across Germany, will take place on Bahnhofsstraße and Bahnhofsplatz. Hundreds of beers, including hard-to-find German microbrews, will be served in a Biergarten atmosphere. Festivities also include food and live entertainment, breweriana, and artisans' stands. The Lions Club of Billericay presents the third annual Billericay Beer Festival, which will take place on the grounds of the Billericay Football Club. The inaugural Chicago Craft Beer Festival will be held on the grounds of St. Michael's Parish in Chicago's Old Town. This event, modeled after an authentic Belgian beer fest, will feature more than 50 craft-brewed beers, with an emphasis on small Midwestern breweries. The festivities will also include live music all three days, food for purchase, and artisans and crafters.

29-July 1: North American Organic Brewers Festival, Portland, OR

The eighth annual North American Organic Brewers Festival will be held at Overlook Park in Portland. This outdoor event, which is designed to raise awareness of organic brewing and sustainable living, will feature more than 50 organic beers from around the country. The festivities will also include live music, organic food, sustainability-oriented vendors and non-profits, and a children's area. Admission is free. The festival benefits the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and the Oregon Food Bank.

29-July 1: Walthamstow Cricket Club 150th Anniversary Beer Festival, Wahthamstow, England

The Walthamstow Cricket Club will celebrate its 150th anniversary by hosting its first-ever Beer Festival. More than ten Real Ales and specialty beers will be available at the club over the weekend. The festivities will also include cricket matches Saturday and Sunday afternoons, local live music Friday and Saturday evenings, and a traditional pub quiz on Sunday.

30: Beer for the Arts Festival, Somers Point, NJ

The 2012 Beer for the Arts Festival will be held at the Sandi Pointe Coastal Bistro in Somers Point. This afternoon/evening event, which is a benefit for the Atlantic City Ballet, will feature beer from breweries based in southern New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Delaware; appearances by authors Gary Monterosso (Artisan Beer) and Mark Haynie (New Jersey Breweries); hors d'oeuvres and door prizes.

30: Bell Tower Brewfest, Placerville, CA

Placerville's merchants present the 2012 Bell Tower Brewfest, which will take place in downtown Placerville. This evening event will feature more than 35 craft-brewed beers. Downtown streets will be closed for the festival, and several live bands will perform up and down Main Street. The festival is a fund-raiser for the Placerville Downtown Association, and is expected to sell out.

The third annual Clifford Champion Beer Festival will be held at Clifford Village Hall. Last year's festival featured more than 20 beers, many of them from Yorkshire breweries, including several special festival ales, along with traditional ciders and wine. The festivities also include live entertainment, dancing, and hot and cold food.

30: The Good Zoo Brew, Wheeling, WV

The Oglebay Resort & Conference Center and OVConnect present the third annual The Good Zoo Brew, which will be held at Oglebay's Good Zoo. This evening event will feature 40 craft-brewed beers, with representatives from several breweries on hand. The festivities will also include live music, food from area restaurants, and an opportunity to tour the zoo's grounds and view the animals. Proceeds will support The Good Zoo. This event is expected to sell out.

30: Hop N' Barley Beer Festival, Scotts Valley, CA

The 2012 Hop N' Barley Beer Festival will be held at Skypark in Scotts Valley. This afternoon event, described as Santa Cruz County's original beer festival, will feature more than 100 beers, music by five local bands, bocce ball, food for purchase, and a children's area. The park is dog-friendly, and admission is free for those not tasting beer. Proceeds will go to the Community Housing Land Trust of Santa Cruz County.

30: Nashua River Brewers Festival, Fitchburg, MA
