June 28- 4: Strongroom American Beer Festival, London, England

The Strongroom Bar, located in London, will host an American Beer Festival. This week-long celebration of Independence Day will feature American craft-brewed beers, along with beer from elsewhere in the Americas. Events will include American-themed food menus, live music and deejays. A special July 4 program will include an outdoor Texas grill and bucking bronco, vintage cars, and iconic American films. Admission is free.

1-3: The Alfred Beer Festival, Burton-on-Trent, England

The Alfred, the Burton Bridge Brewery's pub located in Burton-on-Trent, England, will host its second Beer Festival. There will be 12 national beers, served from the cask, along with six Burton Bridge ales and one guest beer on pump. Food and car parking will be available.

1-31: Oregon Craft Beer Month

The fifth annual Oregon Craft Beer Month will take place at various locations across the state of Oregon. This year's festivities begin with an official kick-off party at McMenamins Hillsdale Brewery, the state's first brewpub, and with a state-wide toast at participating establishments. Other events include beer dinners; brewery tours; releases; meet-the-brewer evenings; and festivals, including the annual Oregon Brewers Festival in Portland (listed separately on the calendar).

2-4: Bierboerse, Viersen, Duelken Germany

The Viersen edition of Bierboerse, a series of beer festivals held across Germany, will take place in the city center of Duelken. More than 1,000 beers from over 75 breweries, including hard-to-find German microbrews, will be served in a Biergarten atmosphere. Festivities also include food and live entertainment, breweriana, and artisans' stands. The Bierboerse website is in German only.

2-3: Chorlton Beer Festival, Manchester, England

The sixth annual Chorlton Beer Festival will take place at St Clement's Church in Manchester. More than 50 Real Ales, plus a collection of at least 30 traditional ciders, will be available, along with wine and soft drinks. A range of bands will perform throughout the festival. Children are welcome on Saturday afternoon, and there will be activities for them. The festival is organized by members of the St Clement's Church with the aid of the local Campaign for Real Ale branch.

2-4: Seattle International Beer Fest, Seattle, WA

The Seattle International Beer Fest, will be held at the Mural Amphitheater in Seattle Center. This outdoor festival will feature a "Grande Beer Garden" with 130 beers from over 15 countries; food and live music; a cigar bar; and free darts, chess, checkers and backgammon. The $20 admission charge is good for all three days (festival-goers must wear their wristband). The festival is a benefit for PetCross.

2-4: Uffculme Beer and Music Festival, Uffculme, England

The Uffculme Beer and Music Festival will be held at Magelake Hall in Uffculme (near Cullompton), a village on the edge of the Blackdown Hills in Devon. A selection of summer ales will be available, along with a variety of musical performers. There will be plenty of parking, a food wagon on site, and local shops nearby.

3: Barnsley Beer Festival, Barnsley, England

The Barnsley Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the Barnsley Beer Festival, which will take place at Worsbrough Mill, a 17th-century water-powered corn mill. This all-day festival will feature at least 12 beers and ciders.

3-4: Battlefield Line Rails & Ales, Shackerstone, England

The Hinckley & Bosworth branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, along with the Battlefield Line, presents Battlefield Line Rails & Ales, which will take place at Shackerstone Station. Thirteen Real Ales, plus ciders and perries, will be available. The Station Buffet open both days of the festival. On Saturday evening, a train with barbecue will be available at the station.

3: Capital Ale House Virginia Beer Festival, Midlothian, VA

The Capital Ale House's Midlothian location will host the third annual Virginia Beer Festival, which will take place in the Midlothian Village parking lot in front of the restaurant. Beer from many of Virginia’s craft breweries will be available; three live bands are scheduled to perform; Virginia food, including crab cakes, soft shell crabs, and Smithfield hot dogs, will be served; and there will be balloon animals and magic for children. Admission is free.

3-4: Floyd Fandango Beer and Wine Festival, Floyd, VA

Across-the-Way Productions presents the Floyd Fandango Beer and Wine Festival, which will take place at the Blue Cow Pavilion, located at milepost 170.5 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The two-day event will feature two dozen finest regional wineries and craft breweries, along with a lineup of performers that includes My Dear Disco, Robert Jospe with the John D’earth Quartet, Dangermuffin, The Mumbles, and other performers TBA on the festival website.

3: Haddenham Real Ale Festival, Woodways, England

The summer edition of the Haddenham Real Ale Festival will be held at the Haddenham Youth and Community Centre in Woodways. More than 40 Real Ales, including several World Cup specials, will be served, along with ciders, perries, and foreign bottled beers. Food will be available, and there will be live music. Proceeds will go to local charities.

3-4: Monkeyfest, Huddersfield, England

The Armitage Bridge "Monkey" Club presents the fourth annual Monkeyfest, which will take place at the club's facility in Huddersfield. Forty Real Ales plus ciders will be served. Barbecue will be available, there will be live music both days, and World Cup matches will be shown in large plasma TV screens.

3-4: The Riverside Festival, Stamford, England

The 30th annual Riverside Festival will be held at Stamford Meadows. This year's event, which has been expanded to two days, features a marquee where more than 40 different beers and 20 ciders, most of them locally sourced, will be available; more than 30 bands and artists performing on three stages; fairground rides; children's entertainment; food, craft, and trade stalls; and a fireworks finale. Proceeds from the beer festival will be given to charities and to the festival.

3: Waterloo Beer Festival, Merseyside, England

Liverpool Organic Brewery presents the inaugural Waterloo Beer Festival, which will take place at Old Christ Church on Waterloo Road in Merseyside. This three-day, five-session event will feature more than 100 beers, along with ciders and perries. The festival is a benefit for Jospice, a charity that aids the mentally ill of Liverpool.

4: Texas Brew-B-Que, Austin, TX

Roadway Events and Texas Rockfest present the second annual Texas Brew-B-Que, which will take place at Buda City Park in Austin. In addition to commercial and homebrewed beer tasting, there will be live music on two stages; a homebrewing demonstration; barbecue competition, with free samples for festival-goers; a lumberjack show; Chihuahua and Pomeranian dog races; and a variety of beer games. There will be plenty of free parking.

7-11: Derby Summer Beer Festival, Derby, England

The Derby Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 33rd annual Derby Summer Beer Festival, which will take place at the Assembly Rooms. This year's festival, which honors Derbyshire's Florence Nightingale, will feature more than 100 Real Ales, some specially brewed for the festival, along with ciders, perries, and continental bottled beers. There will be live music all five days, hot and cold food will be served, and merchandise will be on sale.

7-10: Ealing Beer Festival, Ealing, England

The West Middlesex Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 21st
annual
Ealing Beer Festival, which will take place in Walpole Park. Organizers expect to offer than 170 Real Ales, along with ciders, perries, and draft and bottled foreign beers. A wide range of hot and cold foods will be served.

8-11: Festival of Beer and Flowers, Lasko, Slovenia

The 46th annual Festival of Beer and Flowers will be held in the Old Town Center of Lasko (population 3,600). The festival, which is Slovenia's biggest tourist event, features beer tents, live performances by Slovenian and international bands, a parade, and evening fireworks.

8-11: The Great Vermont Farm and Beer Experience, Waitsfield, VT

The Great Vermont Farm and Beer Experience will take place at The Inn at the Round Barn Farm in Waitsfield. This extended weekend includes two guided brewery tours featuring beer from eight breweries, with pairings and lunches included. In between the tours, there will be a dinner in the Round Barn featuring Hill Farmstead's beers paired with food from the inn's gardens and local farms. Complete packages are available.

8: Maya Beer+Chocolate = Food of the Gods, Salem, MA

The Peabody Essex Museum Maya Beer+Chocolate = Food of the Gods. The focus of this evening event will be on kawak, or cacao, which was a beverage in the Mayan culture and had religious and social significance. George Schwartz, the museum's assistant curator for exhibitions and research, and Alex Whitmore, co-founder of Taza Chocolate, will lead a tutored tasting of chocolate-flavored beers from seven breweries, served with Mayan-inspired cuisine. The museum's galleries will be open for those attending this event.

9-11: Beer on the Wye VI, Hereford, England

The Herefordshire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents Beer on the Wye VI, the Herefordshire Beer Festival, which will take place at the Hereford Rowing Club. Organizers expect to offer more than 125 beers, plus over 70 ciders and perries, all from Herefordshire, along with a range of continental and bottled beers. there will be live entertainment, with seven bands playing on the main stage, and an improved range of hot and cold food, including a pig roast. Sunday will be Fun Day, with activities for people of all ages.

9-10: Hersham Beer Festival, Hersham, England

The First Hersham Scouts present the Hersham Beer Festival, which will take place at the Scouts' headquarters. Draft Real Ales, unusual ales and lagers, Real Ciders, and world wines will be available. Food, including a hog roast and barbecue, will be served. The entertainment lineup includes live comedy on Friday; and live music, quizzes, and games and prizes on Saturday.

9: Hops 'N Clocks, Columbia, PA

The National Watch and Clock Museum, Library & Research Center, located in Columbia, will host Hops 'N Clocks. This evening event will feature beer from a number of local breweries and distributors, food provided by Rivertowne restaurants, and live music by Fire in the Glen. The price of admission includes entry to the museum, where James Bond's wrist watches are among the items on display.

9: Mount Washington Beer Fest, Courtenay, BC, Canada

The 11th annual Mount Washington Beer Fest will be held at Raven Lodge at the Mount Washington Alpine Resort in Courtenay. This evening event will feature unlimited beer sampling, a souvenir glass, and live music. A free shuttle bus will run between Driftwood Mall in Courtenay and the festival site.

9-10: Nando's Canada Cup of Beer, Vancouver, BC, Canada

JustHereForTheBeer.com presents Nando's Canada Cup of Beer, which will take place at Thunderbird Stadium on the University of British Columbia campus. Billed as "Vancouver's largest beer festival," this event attracts more than 30 breweries and vendors, with some brewmasters in attendance, and a selection of over 150 beers. Festival-goers will be invited to vote for their Canada Cup favorites. In addition to the festival itself, a number of satellite events will be held in the Vancouver area.

9-10: Newt Beer Festival, North Newton, England

The 19th annual Newt Beer Festival will be held at Mill Cottage in North Newton. Described as "the largest of its kind in Somerset," the festival will feature more than 90 Real Ales. There will be free entertainment on Saturday afternoon, and food choices will include cooked breakfast for campers and hot dogs and burgers for festival-goers.

9-11: Ribfest and Craft Beer Show, Barrie, ON, Canada

The ninth annual Ribfest and Craft Beer Show will be held at Memorial Square in downtown Barrie. The Craft Beer Show gets underway on Friday. The Ribfest will showcase a lineup of rib teams, a celebrity cook-off, and a "People's Choice Award" for best ribs and pulled pork. There will also be live entertainment.

9-10: South Cotswold Beer Festival, Chipping Sodbury, England

The Yale & District Rotary Club presents the 15th annual South Cotswold Beer Festival, which will take place at the Rugby Ground in Chipping Sodbury. This year's festival will feature more than 100 Real Ales, along with ciders and perries. Six live bands will perform, food will be served, and the festivities will include a tug-of-war tournament.

10-11: Ardingly Beer Festival, Ardingly, England

The North Sussex Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the Ardingly Beer Festival, which will take place at the South of England Showground. Organizers expect to have 100 casks of beer, with an emphasis on local products. The beer festival is part of the annual Ardingly Vintage & Classic Vehicle Show (July 9-11), which features about about 1,500 exhibits and displays including a scale model show, a large Autojumble, Morris dancers, and a vintage vehicle fair.

10: American Royal's Wine & Brew-Ha-Ha!!, Kansas City, MO

American Royal's third annual Wine & Brew Ha-Ha!! Will be held at Hale Arena. This evening event will feature more than 100 beers and wines Proceeds will benefit the American Royal and Youth Education.

10: Barrington Brewfest, Barrington, IL

The eighth annual Barrington Brewfest will take place "under the tent," next to the METRA station in downtown Barrington. In addition to beer (last year's festival attracted 20 breweries), there will be food, root beer, and cream soda. Festivities will also include music by the Big Sky String Band, a 50-50 raffle, and a bean bag contest.

10: Beerfest & Bluegrass, Truckee, CA

Northstar at Tahoe, located near Truckee, will host Beerfest & Bluegrass 2010, a live bluegrass and beer tasting festival. This afternoon event, which will take place at the resort's Northstar Village, will feature beer from more than 30 breweries and performances by three bluegrass bands. Barbecue and soft drinks will be served, there will be games and giveaways, and the Highlands Gondola will run until midnight.

10: Charlbury Beer Festival, Charlbury, England

The Charlbury Beer Festival will again be held at the Charlbury Cricket Club. Organizers expect to offer 48 Real Ales, a selection of ten cask ciders, and Pimms and wine; hot food and snacks, live music and dancing; and entertainment, including Morris dancers and children's activities. The festival is a fund-raiser for the Charlbury School Association.

10: Chetek Brew & Rib Fest, Chetek, WI

The Chetek Community Club hosts the 13th annual Chetek Brew & Rib Fest, which will take place at Phillips Park. This afternoon, rain-or-shine event will feature beer from regional and national microbreweries, rib tasting, and live music. Proceeds will fund local scholarships, Christmas for Kids, and other area organizations.

10: Colorado Brewers Rendezvous, Salida, CO

The Colorado Brewers Guild presents the 14th annual Colorado Brewers Rendezvous, which will take place at Salida Town Park. The festival, which is also sponsored by the Salida Chamber of Commerce, will feature beer from 35 Colorado breweries, along with live music, in a historic outdoor setting.

10-11: Newark SummerFest, Newark, CA

The Newark Chamber of Commerce presents the second Annual Newark SummerFest, which will take place at the Newpark Mall. This year's theme is "Microbrews and Music." Beer will be available for sampling, and a variety of live bands will perform on the outdoor main stage. The festivities will also include a car show, arts and craft vendors, food and merchandise vendors, and a kids' park. Admission to the festival is free.

10: Phinney Neighborhood Association Beer Taste, Seattle, WA

The Phinney Neighborhood Association will host its fifth annual Beer Taste, which will take place in the Lower PNA Lot. This late afternoon event will feature beer from more than 15 Seattle-area breweries, along with hard cider.

10: Santa Cruz Hop N' Barley Festival, Scotts Valley, CA

The inaugural Santa Cruz Hop N' Barley Festival will be held at Sky Park in Scotts Valley. This afternoon event will feature beer from 20 breweries, including five from the Santa Cruz area; and live music by Acoustic Shadow, Ancestree, and the URJ. The festival site has a large kids' area and skate park, and is dog-friendly. The festival is a benefit for the Community Housing Land Trust of Santa Cruz County.

10: Sunfest, Omaha, NE

Beer Corner USA presents Sunfest, which will take place at Brewtopia in Omaha. The fourth annual "celebration of the Midwest's finest beers" is a five-hour sampling of more than 150 beers, including hard-to-find and special festival selections. More than 40 breweries are expected to send representatives to the festival. Food will be available, and the Night Shaker Trio will perform.

11-17: Indiana Beer Week

The Brewers of Indiana Guild, which sponsors this event, has not yet posted any details about Indiana Beer Week.

11-17: Ohio Brew Week Festival, Athens, OH

Ohio Brew Week, which takes place in Athens, celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. More than 35 venues, many of them within walking distance of one another, will host all of Ohio's craft breweries.The festivities include the Brew BQ Cook-Off and Craft Brew Cooking Competition, two competition in which entrants will use Ohio craft beer in their foods. Other events include formal tastings; beer dinners; cheesemaking demonstrations; beer, cheese and chocolate tastings; comedy night; and Ladies Night and craft beer on tap during the Copperheads baseball game.

13-24: Ann Arbor Beer Week, Ann Arbor, MI

The inaugural Ann Arbor Beer Week will take place at various locations in and around Ann Arbor. Scheduled events include a beer dinner, a beer class, a special release, a meet-the-brewers event, a tasting of Michigan-brewed cask ales, a beer trivia contest, and a pub crawl through downtown Ann Arbor. Beer Week culminates in the Michigan Brewers Guild's Summer Beer Festival in Ypsilanti (listed separately in the calendar) and an afterglow party.

13-17: Chelmsford Summer Beer Festival, Chelmsford, England

The Chelmsford & Mid-Essex Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale present the Chelmsford Summer Beer Festival, which will take place at Admirals Park. More than 300 Real Ales will be available, along with over 100 ciders and perries, an assortment of Belgian beers, and local wines. There will also be food and live entertainment. CAMRA members will be admitted free.

14: Craft & Import Beer Tasting on the Rooftop, Joliet, IL

The Joliet Area Historical Museum will host Craft & Import Beer Tasting on the Rooftop, which will take place on the museum's rooftop terrace. This outdoor event will feature beer from more than 18 breweries, a guest speaker from a major brewery, and items from historian John Bitterman's breweriana collection. There will also be free food to sample, music, games, gifts, and a prize raffle.

15: Brew at the Zoo, Washington, DC

The Friends of the National Zoo Young Professionals present Brew at the Zoo, which will take place at Lion/Tiger Hill inside the zoo. This evening event will feature beer from more than 20 microbreweries. The Shields Brothers will perform, and food will be available for purchase. VIP Brew Club tickets, with a private beer tasting, hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants, and animal demonstrations by zoo staff, are available. Proceeds will support animal care, conservation science, education, and sustainability at the zoo.

15-17: Bromsgrove Beer Festival, Bromsgrove, England

The Redditch and Bromsgrove branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the eighth annual Bromsgrove Beer Festival, which will take place on the grounds of the Bromsgrove Rugby Football Club. The festival will feature more than 100 Real Ales plus a range of cider and perry, fruit wines, and other drinks. Food will be served at most sessions. This is a quiet festival, with no loud music.

15-18: Pivofest Prilep, Prilep, Macedonia

The eighth annual Pivofest Prilep will take place in downtown Prilep. A range of local and international beers (TBA on the festival website) will be available for sampling. Grilled food will be available; and there will be live music, including a performance by Ceca Raznatovic, as well as other live entertainment on several live stages.

15-17: Reading Real Ale and Jazz Festival, Reading, England

The Reading Hockey Club, in association with The Reading Post, present the Reading Real Ale and Jazz Festival, which will take place at in Christchurch Meadow. More than 30 Real Ales will be available, along with cider, wine, and Champagne. A variety of jazz musicians will perform each evening; and food, including barbecue, a hog roast, and chocolate, will be available.

16-18: Bierboerse, Mainz, Germany

The Mainz edition of Bierboerse, a series of beer festivals held across Germany, will take place at Rheinufer am Rathaus. More than 1,000 beers from over 75 breweries, including hard-to-find German microbrews, will be served in a Biergarten atmosphere. Festivities also include food and live entertainment, breweriana, and artisans' stands. The Bierboerse website is in German only.

16-18: Downtown Kitchener Ribfest & Craft Beer Show, Kitchener, ON, Canada

This Downtown Kitchener Ribfest & Craft Beer Show will be held at Victoria Park. Last year's festival featured 50 brands of Ontario-brewed beers (this year's beer list TBA on the festival website), barbecued ribs and chicken, and live entertainment. Admission is free, but donations to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region will be accepted at the gate.

16-17: Dog & Grog - Montana Microbrew Festival, Virginia City, MT

The annual Montana Microbrew Festival will be held on the patio of the Bale of Hay Saloon in historic Virginia City. Friday evening is Wee Dog Pint Night, with live music and $2 pint glass refills. On Saturday afternoon, more than 25 beers from ten Montana microbreweries will be available. There will be live music, both at the festival and afterward, on Saturday.

16: Empire State Brewing & Music Festival, Syracuse, NY

The Empire State Brewing & Music Festival is held in July in Syracuse's Clinton Square. The festival, which is sanctioned by the New York State Brewers Association, features 300 beers; tents devoted to cask-conditioned and Belgian-style beer; more than 75 national and international brewery representatives on hand to answer questions; five bands, performing on two stages throughout the evening; retailers related to the brewing industry; and food from area restaurants. Proceeds the festival go to the Brewers Association and a local charity.

16-18: Hamilton Russell Beer Festival, Thorpe Thewles, England

The Hamilton Russell Arms, a public house located in Thorpe Thewles (near Stockton on Tees), will host a beer festival. More than 30 locally-sourced Real ales will be served (15 at a time), along with ciders, continental lagers, and wines. Food will be available, and there will be a barbecue on Saturday afternoon. Nine local bands will perform during the festival; and prizes, including a vacation in Turkey, will be raffled off.

16-18: Poppy Line Beer Festival, Sheringham, England

The North Norfolk Railway presents the Poppy Line Beer Festival, which will take place at the Sheringham steam railway station. A selection of beers from East Anglia and the rest of the U.K. will be available (beer list TBA on the railway's website), and there will be food and live entertainment as well. There is frequent service on the Bittern Line from Norwich via North Walsham and Cromer to Sheringham.

16-18: Portland International Beer Fest, Portland, OR

The Portland International Beer Fest will be held in the North Park Blocks in Portland's Pearl District. This outdoor festival will feature a "Grande Beer Garden" with 130 beers from over 15 countries; food, including artisanal cheeses and chocolate; live music; a cigar bar; and free chess, checkers, and backgammon. The $20 admission charge is good for all three days (festival-goers must wear their wristband). The festival is a benefit for PetCross.

16-18: SIBA South East of England Beer Festival, Tonbridge, England

The Society of Independent Brewers and the Tonbridge Juddians Rugby Club present the fourth annual SIBA South East of England Beer Festival, which will take place at the rugby club's grounds in Tonbridge. More than 100 beers from over 30 breweries will be served, and food and soft drinks will be available at all sessions. Admission is free.

16-17: Styal Beer Festival, Styal, England

The Styal Beer Festival will be held on the grounds of the Styal Football Club. This two-day festival will emphasize locally-brewed beers. In addition, Cheshire cider and a selection of wines will be available, and food will be served. Live bands will perform both evenings, and Saturday afternoon will be a family session. There will also be a 20/20 cricket match and a five-a-side football competition on Saturday.

16-17: Vermont Brewers Festival, Burlington, VT

In July, the Vermont Brewers Association presents the Vermont Brewers Festival, which takes place at Waterfront Park in Burlington. The festival venue is on the shores of Lake Champlain, with the Adirondack Mountains in the background. More than 30 brewers from Vermont and the region, invited by festival organizers, take part. In addition to the beer, there is gourmet food, music, and children's activities.

16-18: Windsor LocAle Festival, Old Windsor, England

The Windsor & Maidenhead Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the Windsor LocAle Festival, which will take place at the Windsor Farm Shop in Old Windsor. This three-afternoon festival will feature more than 40 Real Ales from local breweries, along with ciders and perries. There will be meet-the-brewer sessions on Saturday and Sunday, and the Windsor Farm Shop will provide a hog roast. Admission to all sessions is free, and there is ample free parking.

17: Beer 4 Boobs, Atlanta, GA

The Busted Hearts Team of the Atlanta 2 Day Walk for Breast Cancer invite you to join them at the third annual Beer 4 Boobs, which will take place at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. This evening event will feature tastings of "the best beer in the Southeast," brewery tours, live music from Bandwidth and raffle items. Proceeds will go toward fighting breast cancer in the Atlanta area.

17: Beer Dabbler Showcase at Highland Fest, St. Paul, MN

The Beer Dabbler Showcase will make a stop at St. Paul's Highland Fest, which will take place at Cleveland Avenue and Ford Parkway. This afternoon beer tasting will feature unlimited beer sampling from more than 40 breweries.

17: Blues 'n Brews, Oshkosh, WI

The Oshkosh Jaycees present the 15th annual Blues 'n Brews, which will take place at the Leach Amphitheater in downtown Oshkosh. More than 100 beers from over 30 breweries will be available at this afternoon event. Music will be provided by Greg Waters and The Broad Street Boogie and Donnie Pick and The Unit. Proceeds will go to the Christine Ann Center for Domestic Abuse and other Oshkosh-area charities.

17: Bobtown Beer Bash, Roberttown, England

The Roberttown Road Runners and other members of the community present the inaugural Bobtown Beer Bash, which will take place at the Roberttown Community Centre. Thirty barrels of Real Ale will be available for tasting; four live bands are scheduled to perform; and food, including burgers, sausages, and hot potatoes, will be served.

17: BreastFest, San Francisco, CA

17: Hops, Vines & Wines Festival, Selinsgrove, PA

The third annual Hops, Vines & Wines Festival will take place in historic downtown Selinsgrove. Thirty breweries were represented at last year's event (this year's brewery list TBA on the festival website), along with local wineries. Food will be served, and there will be live entertainment, at this afternoon tasting. Proceeds will support downtown revitalization. This event has sold out.

17: Indiana Microbrewers Festival, Indianapolis, IN

In July, the Brewers of Indiana Guild presents the Indiana Microbrewers Festival, which takes part at Opti-Park in Broad Ripple (Indianapolis). The festival features more than 200 beers from 20 Indiana breweries and 15 out-of-state breweries, with brewers in attendance; a cask-conditioned table, with up to 16 firkins served on gravity; a replicale, with Indiana breweries using a mutual recipe; and games, food and live music, and door prizes.

17: Roadhouse Brewfest Hillsboro, OR

The Cornelius Roadhouse will host the ninth annual Roadhouse Brewfest. This all-day event is a "non-competitive celebration of beer," with McMenamins' brewers on hand. In addition to McMenamins' ales the festivities will include live music, food specials, and "the balloon guy." Admission is free.

17-19: Tynedale Beer Festival, Corbridge, England

The Tynedale Lions Club and the Tynedale Rugby Football Club present the Tynedale Beer Festival, which will take place on the football club's grounds in Tynedale Park in Corbridge. Organizers expect to have more than 110 beers to sample. Hamburgers, sandwiches, and other food will be available; and there will be live music. The festival is a fund-raiser for local charities.

17: Twisted Pine Anniversary Festival, Boulder, CO

Twisted Pine Brewery, which opened in 1995, will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a festival. Thirty beers, including the newly-released Hoppy Knight India Black Ale and several one-off festival beers, will be served in the beer garden; and five bands are scheduled to perform.

19: Great Japan Beer Festival, Osaka, Japan

The Japan Craft Beer Association presents the Great Japan Beer Festival 2010-Osaka, which will take place at Kyosera Dome Sky Hall. More than 120 microbrewed beers will be available for sampling.

22: Hagerstown Suns Beer and Wine Tasting Festival, Hagerstown, MD

The Hagerstown Suns baseball team will host its sixth annual Beer and Wine Tasting Festival, to be held at Municipal Stadium. This evening event will feature more than 75 beers from around the country, along with a selection of wine. After the tasting closes, Tony T. and Wildman Joe, the "Dueling Pianos," will play classic songs for festival-goers.

22-24: Kent CAMRA Beer Festival, Canterbury, England

The Kent Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the Kent CAMRA Beer Festival, which will take place at Merton Farm, a working farm outside Canterbury. Organizers expect to have more than 120 beers and ciders to sample. Curry, hot snacks, olives, and local cheese will be available; there will be live entertainment; and a shuttle bus will run between the Canterbury bus station and Merton Farm.

22-25: Oregon Brewers Festival, Portland, OR

The Oregon Brewers Guild and the Oregon Brew Crew present the Oregon Brewers Festival, which takes place in July at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in downtown Portland. This is North America's largest gathering of independent brewers, with beer from 73 invited breweries; exhibits by hop growers, maltsters, and homebrewers; food and live entertainment, and a brewers parade to kick off the festivities.

23-25: Bierboerse, Bonn, Germany

The Bonn edition of Bierboerse, a series of beer festivals held across Germany, will take place at Freizeitpark Rheinaue. More than 1,000 beers from over 75 breweries, including hard-to-find German microbrews, will be served in a Biergarten atmosphere. Festivities also include food and live entertainment, breweriana, and artisans' stands. The Bierboerse website is in German only.

23-25: Cotswold Beer Festival, Winchcombe, England

The Gloucestershire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 34th annual Cotswold Beer Festival, which will take place at Postlip Hall, near Winchcombe. Recent festivals have featured around 80 Real Ales and 20 Real Ciders. Food, including barbecue, will be available, and there will also be live entertainment.

23-August 1: The Farsons Great Beer Festival, Malta

The 30th annual Farsons Great Beer Festival will be held at Ta' Qali Park in Malta. The event, which is one of the island's largest outdoor music festivals, features 14 bars serving local Cisk beers and a variety of international brands. More than 40 live acts will perform on five stages, and a food court will offer dishes from around the world. All ages are welcome, and admission and parking are free.

23-24: Knaresborough Charity Beer Festival, Knaresborough, England

Roosters Brewery and the Lido Leisure Park present the Knaresborough Charity Beer Festival, which will take place at the Plompton Mill Bar in Lido Leisure Park. The festival will feature beer from around the UK, along with live bands and a hog roast. All profits will go to four cancer charities, and will then be doubled by a sponsor.

23-25: Lions Club Beer Festival, Weston-super-Mare, England

The Lions Club of Weston-super-Mare presents the second annual Real Ale and Cider Festival, which will held on the Beach Lawns. More than 50 beers will be available, along with cider, wine and soft drinks. The beer festival is part of the 2010 Heiliday Spectacular. Proceeds will go to Help for Heroes and other charities.

23-24: Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival, Ypsilanti, MI

In late July, the Michigan Brewers Guild presents its annual Summer Beer Festival, which takes place at Riverside Park in Ypsilanti. This is a two-day festival, held in a beautiful park setting. Each tasting session features beer from more than 40 Michigan breweries; hourly releases of special festival beers; and food, live entertainment, and educational lectures.

23-24: Olletoober 2010, Oitme, Estonia

Olletoober 2010, billed as the largest beer festival in the Nordic countries, will again be held at Oitme, on Saaremaa Island. More than 100 beers from the Baltic states and the rest of Europe will be available for sampling, and a homebrewing competition will take place during the festival. 23-25: Reedham Beer Festival, Reedham, England

The Humpty Dumpty Brewery presents the 2010 edition of the Reedham Beer Festival, which will take place at the Reedham Village Hall and Playing Fields. This three-day event will feature more than 40 Real Ales from East Anglian and other breweries, along with a variety of local ciders. There will be food, live music, and other entertainment at all sessions.

23: Summer Brew Fest, Denver, CO

RightOn Productions presents the fourth annual Summer Brew Fest, which will take place at Mile High Station, by Denver's Invesco Field. This evening event will feature more than 75 beers from over 20 breweries located in Colorado and beyond. The Asteroids, an 80s cover band, will perform, and vendors will sell food and other items. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. The festival is a benefit for the Swallow Hill Music Association.

23: Zoo Brew, Rochester, NY

The July edition of ZooBrew will be held at the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester. This evening event, described as "the wildest happy hour in town," features beer sampling, live music by Bottle Train, and barbecue.

24-August 2: Annafest, Forchheim, Germany

Annafest, the Festival of Saint Anne, was first held in Forchheim in 1446. This ten-day festival takes place at the Kellerwald, a beer garden with a capacity of 30,000. There will be 23 beer gardens, live music on six stages, food from local restaurants, carnival rides, and family activities. The festival site is entirely in German.

24: Beer on the Bay, Erie, PA

The Erie Brewing Company presents the third annual Beer on the Bay, which will take place at Erie's Burger King Amphitheater at Liberty Park. There will be afternoon and evening sessions, each with more than 100 beers from the region's microbreweries, live blues music from Duke Sherman, and food available for purchase. The festival venue provides views of Presque Isle State Park and Lake Erie.

24: Brazilian Beer Awards, Rio de Janiero, Brazil

ABRADEG, an association of Brazilian beer consumers, presents the 2010 Brazilian Beer Awards (BBA), which will take place at Buena Beer, located in Ipanema. This event, which kicks off a national search for Brazil's best beers, offers breweries the opportunity to showcase their products against the best in the industry. The festival website is entirely in Portuguese.

24-25: Burning River Fest, Cleveland, OH

The Burning River Fest will take place at the historic Coast Guard Station on Whiskey Island. This two-day event, which celebrates the burning of the Cuyahoga River in 1969, will feature live music, fresh food from local farms and eateries, educational environmental exhibits, and a special pouring of Great Lakes Brewing Company's Christmas Ale.

24: Capital Region Craft Brewers Festival, Troy, NY

The Tri-City Valley Cats presents the Capital Region Craft Brewers Festival, which will take place at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy. This afternoon event will feature beer from breweries in New York, Massachusetts, and Vermont (TBA on the festival website). Brewers will be in attendance, and food will be available. Package offers, including tickets to future Valley Cats games, are available. The festival is a fund-raiser for the New York-Penn League Charitable Foundation.

24: Gulf Brew 2010, Lafayette, LA

Gulf Brew 2010 will be held at Parc International in downtown Lafayette. This festival, in the style of Munich's Oktoberfest, offers the best brews of the Gulf South. The festival is held in conjunction with Southern Open, an exhibition of the work from artists from Texas to Florida. All the money raised through Gulf Brew helps the Acadiana Center for the Arts employ musicians and artists, introduce arts into the local schools, and supports a visual arts exhibition series.

24-25: The Harpoon Championships of New England Barbecue, Windsor, VT

The Windsor, Vermont, location of the Harpoon Brewery will host the tenth annual Harpoon Championships of New England Barbecue. Forty barbecue teams "from all over" will compete, local bands will perform, fresh beer and barbecue will be served, and brewery tours will be offered all weekend.

24: International Great Beer Festival, Cuddebackville, NY

The Neversink Valley Area Museum International Great Beer returns to the museum grounds in Cuddebackville. This is an afternoon event with more than 50 beers from over 25 breweries from around the world. The festivities will also include beer education and live entertainment. The festival is a fund-raiser for the museum.

24: Clayton Lions Brew Fest, Clayton, WI

The Clayton Lions Club presents the 17th annual Clayton Lions Brew Fest, which will take place at the Richardson Sportsman’s Club. This afternoon event will feature beer from area breweries, cheese samples, a pork roast plate, a prize raffle, and a horseshoes tournament.

24: Sierra Brewfest, Grass Valley, CA

24: Yankee Homecoming Brewfest, Newburyport, MA

After a one-year hiatus, the Yankee Homecoming Brewfest returns to the waterfront in Newburypost. Keystone Resort will host the 14th annual Bluegrass and Beer Festival. 31-August 1: Bones and Brew Festival, Portland, OR

Rogue Ales presents the Bones and Brew Festival, which will take place in Portland's Pearl District (N.W. 14th and Flanders) . The festival, which will benefit the Oregon Zoo, will feature more than 30 Oregon craft beers, a celebration of the American backyard barbecue including vendors and a barbecue contest, a KOBE Bleu Ball eating contest, dog washes, kids' interactive areas, and live music.

31: Lac du Flambeau Lions Club Brewfest, Lake Minocqua, WI

The Lac du Flambeau Lions Club presents the sixth annual Brewfest, an afternoon event in the pavilion at Torpy Park on the shores of Lake Minocqua. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 craft-brewed beers from around the world. Festivities will also include musical performances, homebrewing demonstrations, exhibits from Museum Of Beer and Brewing, games and contests, a Miss Brewfest pageant, and food from local restaurants and vendors.

31: Music City Brewer's Festival, Nashville, TN

The Music City Brewer's Festival returns to Nashville's Hilton Park. There will be two sessions; and to avoid crowding, the number of tickets for each session will be limited. Wild Brew, a benefit for the Sutton Avian Research Center, will be held in Tulsa Expo Square's Exchange Center. This evening event will pair food from area restaurants with craft-brewed and imported beers. Mid-Life Crisis, plus Shelby Eicher and Mark Bruner, will perform. Proceeds will help the Center conserve endangered, rare, and neglected bird species.
