5-7: Big Beers, Belgians and Barleywines Festival, Breckenridge, CO

The 17th annual Big Beers, Belgians and Barleywines Festival will be held at a new venue, the Beaver Run Resort & Conference Center in Breckenridge. This year's events will include brewmaster's dinners on Thursday and Friday, with appearances by representatives of leading breweries; a Friday morning Cicerone program orientation; a Friday afternoon welcome reception; an AHA-sanctioned homebrew competition; an experimental brewing session; expert talks about beer; and a Saturday commercial tasting session with 400 "big" beers from around the world.

6-7: Key Largo Craft Beer Festival, Key Largo, FL

The Key Largo Rotary presents the sixth annual Key Largo Craft Beer Festival, which will take place at Rowell's Waterfront Park. On Friday, there will be a homebrew competition, with sampling, live music, and complimentary appetizers. The festival itself will take place on Saturday afternoon, and will end at sunset. Last year’s event featured more than 100 domestic and imported craft beers. There will also be live music; food, including a seafood court; merchandise vendors; and games. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available. 

7: San Diego Beer Fest, San Diego, CA

The seventh annual San Diego Brew Fest will be held at Liberty Station. This afternoon event will feature dozens of domestic and imported beers, many of them from San Diego. There will also be live music, and food trucks will be at the festival site. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. Proceeds will benefit Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue.

13-22: Alaska Beer Week, statewide

The seventh annual Alaska Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout the state of Alaska. The headline event of this ten-day celebration, sponsored by the Brewers Guild of Alaska, is the Great Alaska Beer & Barleywine Festival. There will be a number of other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

13-14: Annual Brew Ha-Ha, Saginaw, MI

The sixth annual Brew Ha-Ha will be held at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw. This two-evening event will feature more than 140 beers, ciders, and meads from over 40 providers. There will also be two comedy shows each evening. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available.

13-14: Big Philly Beerfest, Philadelphia, PA

Fatheads Brewery presents the third annual Big Philly Beerfest, which will take place downtown at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. This two-evening event, which organizers describe as the city’s biggest craft beer festival, will feature more than 350 beers from over 125 breweries. There will be live music, along with food from Reading Terminal restaurants. “Connoisseur" tickets, with early admission and a special beer and food pairing, are available. The festival is a fund-raiser for Animal Rescue Partners.

13-14: Exeter Festival of Winter Ales, Exeter, England

The Exeter & East Devon Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 28th annual Exeter Festival of Winter Ales, which will take place on the grounds of the Exeter City Football Club in St James Park. This two-day event will feature 76 Real Ales, along with a selection of ciders and perries. There will also be live entertainment both evenings, and food will be available for purchase.

13: Friday the Firkenteenth, Philadelphia, PA

Friday the Firkenteenth, held at the Grey Lodge in Philadelphia, is a Friday the 13th tradition that dates back to 1998. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with 30 firkins and pins of cask-conditioned beer. This is the only known beer event in the world whose frequency and timing are entirely at the mercy of the calendar.

14: Buffalo on Tap, Buffalo, NY

America on Tap presents the fifth annual Buffalo on Tap, which will take place at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. There will be afternoon and evening sessions, each with more than 150 beers from over 50 American craft breweries. There will also be live music, and food and merchandise will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission and a food voucher, are available.

14: Cabin Fever, Maplewood, MO

The Schlafly Bottleworks, in Maplewood, will host Cabin Fever, the 2017 Schlafly Winter Beer Festival. This afternoon outdoor event will feature a selection of Schlafly beers, including strong beers and winter seasonals.

14-21: Kalamazoo Beer Week, Kalamazoo, MI

The seventh annual Kalamazoo Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Kalamazoo. There will be hundreds of events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

14: Mankato Craft Beer Expo, Mankato, MN

Chop Liver Craft Beer Festival presents the fifth annual Mankato Craft Beer Expo, which will take place downtown at the Verizon Wireless Center. This afternoon event will feature beer from 40 craft breweries, many of them from Minnesota, and brewery and distributor representatives will be in attendance. There will also be live music, food and merchandise vendors, and an educational program. Early Admission tickets are available.

14: Miami Beer Festival, Miami, FL

The fifth annual Miami Beer Festival will be held on the field of Marlins Park, the home of the Miami Marlins. This afternoon event will feature beer from dozens of domestic and international breweries, including some from south Florida. There will also be DJ music, lawn games, and a photo booth; and the ballpark’s concession stands will be open. VIP and Connoisseur tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available.

14: Polar Beer Fest, Royal Oak, MI

The 2017 Polar Beer Fest will take place at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. This evening event will feature more than 100 beers from over 35 breweries, many of them from Michigan. There will also be live entertainment, and food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, a special selection of beers, and an opportunity to meet the brewers, are available.

14: Syracuse Winter Brewfest, Syracuse, NY

The 2017 Syracuse Winter Brewfest will take place in the F Shed at the Syracuse Regional Market. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with beer from around 30 breweries. There will also be live music, food for purchase, and activities and games. VIP tickets are available for the evening session. The Syracuse “Wine About Winter” festival will be held at the same time and location as the Brewfest, and combination tickets are available for both.

15: RI Winter Beer Blast, Warren, RI

The second annual RI Winter Beer Blast will be held at the historic Warren Armory. There will be two afternoon sessions, each with 100 beers from 25 breweries, including a number of new breweries. Food will be available for purchase, and several East Bay vendors will be at the venue. Part of the proceeds will go to the Armory and Chefs Feeding Kids.

18-21: Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Manchester, England

The Greater Manchester Branches of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 2017 Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, which will take place at downtown at Manchester Central. This three-day event will feature more than 600 beers, including draft and bottled beers from around the world, along with a selection of ciders and perries. Food will be available for purchase. There will be a trade-only session the Wednesday before the festival itself.

19-21: Cambridge Winter Ale Festival, Cambridge, England

The Cambridge & District Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 21st annual Cambridge Winter Ale Festival, which will take place at the University Social Club. Recent editions of this three-day event have featured more than 100 Real Ales and ciders from local and national breweries, along with a selection of foreign bottled beers.

20-21: Columbus Winter Beerfest, Columbus, OH

The seventh annual Columbus Winter Beerfest will take place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. This two-evening event will feature more than 450 beers from over 130 craft breweries. There will be live music, along with food trucks and dishes from local restaurants. "Special Connoisseur” tickets, with premium draft and large format beers and appetizers local restaurants, are available.The festival charity is Animal Rescue Partners.

20-21: Great Alaska Beer & Barleywine Festival, Anchorage, AK

Aurora Productions, Inc., presents the 23rd annual Great Alaska Beer & Barleywine Festival, which will take place in the Egan Convention Center in Anchorage. There will be three tasting sessions, including a connoisseur session on Saturday afternoon. Each session will feature 300 barleywine-style beers, winter warmers, and other seasonal beers from more than 75 breweries. In addition, there will be a judged competition, live music, and food for purchase. The festival benefits the American Diabetes Association.

20: Pour for a Cure, Pittsburgh, PA

The seventh annual Pour For A Cure will be held in the US Steel Tower in Pittsburgh. This evening event will feature a selection of beers, along with live music, food samples from local restaurants, and an auction. The festival charity is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

21: Asheville Winter Warmer Beer Festival, Asheville, NC

ThreeSheets:Design and Brews Cruise, Inc., present the tenth annual Asheville Winter Warmer Beer Festival, which will take place downtown at the U.S. Cellular Center. This late-afternoon event will feature beer from more than 40 breweries, many of them from Asheville and western North Carolina. There will also be live music, and food will be available for purchase. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Western North Carolina Alliance.

21: Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting, Sandy Springs, GA

Brewtopia, LLC, presents the 13th annual Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting, which will take place at 5 Seasons Westside & Taco Mac Prado, two adjacent establishments in Sandy Springs' Prado Center. This late-afternoon event will feature 50 cask-conditioned ales from the U.S. and the UK. Festival-goers are invited to vote for the "People's Choice" award, and a panel of judges will choose the top cask ales. Food items from 5 Seasons and Taco Mac will be available for purchase. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Atlanta Humane Society.

21: Brews & Bros Craft Beer Festival, Upland, CA

Last Name Brewery, formerly known as Dale Bros Brewery, presents the 14th annual Brews & Bros Craft Beer Festival. It will take place at Cable Airport in Upland. This afternoon event will feature more than 80 craft beers, along with ciders, wines, and craft sodas. There will also be live music, food for purchase, and games. VIP tickets, with early admission and unlimited beer sampling, are available. The festival charity is the Claremont Educational Foundation.

21: Ellensburg Winterhop Brewfest, Ellensburg, WA

The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce presents the 13th annual Ellensburg Winterhop Brewfest, which will take place in downtown Ellensburg. This afternoon outdoor event, to be held at 12 venues, will feature beer from more than 30 Pacific Northwest breweries, along with live music.

21: Flagstaff BrewHaHa, Flagstaff, AZ

Greenhouse Productions presents the seventh annual Flagstaff BrewHaHa, which will take place at the High Country Conference Center. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 60 breweries, many of them from Arizona and the Mountain West, along with a selection of wines. There will also be live entertainment and hors d'oeuvres tasting. A VIP luncheon, paired with a special selection of beers, will take place before the festival itself. Proceeds will go to Northern Arizona Habitat for Humanity.

21: Hibrewnation Festival of Beer, Gettysburg, PA

CrocodileDog Marketing presents the Gettysburg edition of the 2017 Hibrewnation Festival of Beer, which will take place at the Allstar Complex. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 craft beers, including hard-to-find beers, along with a selection of spirits. There will also be an educational program, and food and merchandise will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available.

21: Isthmus Beer & Cheese Fest, Madison, WI

Isthmus magazine presents the eighth annual Isthmus Beer & Cheese Fest, which will take place at the Alliant Energy Center Exhibition Hall in Madison. This afternoon event will feature hundreds of beers from Wisconsin breweries, along with locally-made cheese. Brewery representatives and cheesemakers will be in attendance. There will also be live entertainment, and food and merchandise vendors will be on hand. 21: Jolly Skull Beer & Wine Festival, Greenville, NC

The seventh annual Jolly Skull Beer & Wine Festival will be held at the Greenville Convention Center. This afternoon event will feature more than 125 beers from over 50 American craft breweries, along with food for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. All proceeds will benefit the Beer Army Foundation.

21: RocCity Brewfest, Rochester, NY

The 2017 RocCity Brewfest will be held at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with beer from more than 30 breweries. There will also be live music; food for purchase; games, including Giant Jenga, Yard Scrabble, and beer pong; and a cornhole tournament. The Rochester “Wine About Winter” festival will be held at the same time and location as the Brewfest, and combination tickets are available for both.

21: Yaga's Chili Quest & Beer Fest, Galveston, TX

The eighth annual Yaga's Chili Quest & Beer Fest will be held in Galveston's historic Strand District. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 domestic and imported craft beers, with brewers in attendance, along with chili from over 80 cook-off teams. Other weekend events include a party at Yaga’s the night before the festival, a washer-pitching tournament, a jackpot margarita contest, a jalapeno-eating competition, a 5-K fun run, and a Strand merchant walkabout. The festival charity is the Ronald McDonald House of Galveston.

25-28: Colchester Winter Ale Festival, Colchester, England

The Colchester Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the tenth annual Colchester Winter Ale Festival, which will take place at the Colchester Arts Centre. This four-day event will feature more than 140 Real Ales from across East Anglia, a selection of locally-produced ciders and perries, and wine. There will also be a Belgian bar with draft and bottled beers. Food will be available for purchase, and there will be live music Saturday evening.

27: The Art of Beer, McClellan, CA

The sixth annual Art of Beer will be held at the Aerospace Museum of California in McClellan. This evening event will feature beer from 30 breweries, along with a 10,000-square-foot “Brewer’s Experience.” Works of art will be on display, and more than 30 works by brewers and brewery representatives will be available for purchase. The price of admission includes unlimited food samples from local farm-to-fork restaurants.

27-28: Art & Craft Beerfest, Lansing, MI

The Cadillac Room, Robin Theatre, AA Creative Corridor, and REO Town Pub, in Lansing’s REO Town, present the 2017 Art & Craft Beerfest. It will take place at the sponsoring venues. This two-evening event will feature more than 20 beers from Traverse City's Right Brain Brewery, Blake’s Hard Cider, and a selection of Michigan wines. There will also be works by Michigan artists, a variety of musical entertainers, and food for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

27-28: Cleveland Winter Beerfest, Cleveland, OH

The fourth Annual Cleveland Winter Beerfest will be held downtown at the FirstMerit Cleveland Convention Center. This two-evening event will feature more than 400 beers from over 120 breweries. There will also be live music and food for purchase. “Connoisseur" tickets, with early admission, and a special selection of beers, and complimentary appetizers, are available. All proceeds will benefit the Music Education Society.

27-28: Denver Winter Ales Festival, Denver, CO

Right On Productions presents the 2017 Denver Winter Ales Festival, which will take place at Mile High Station in Denver. This two-evening event will feature beer from more than 40 breweries, along with live music and food and merchandise vendors. VIP tickets, with early admission, complimentary cheese, and a special beer pouring, are available. The festival benefits the Swallow Hill Music Association.

27: Field of Beers, Jupiter, FL

The ninth annual Field of Beers festival will be held at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, the spring training home of the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals. This evening event will feature 15 stations, each of them pairing craft-brewed beers and food served by a team of Palm Beach-area chefs headed by Chef Kyle Pintarelli.

27-28: Lichfield Winter Beer Festival, Lichfield, England

Lichfield Arts presents the 2017 Lichfield Winter Beer & Wine Festival, which will take place at The Guildhall. This two-day community event will feature more than 25 Real Ales, many of them locally brewed, along with a selection of ciders, perries, bottled beers, and wines. There will be live music both evenings; and food, including “Famous Pork Pies”, will be available for purchase.

27-28: Midland on Tap, Midland, TX

America on Tap presents the third annual on Midland on Tap Craft Beer Festival, which will take place at the Commemorative Air Force. This two-day, three session event will feature more than 100 beers from over 50 American craft breweries. There will also be live music, and food and merchandise will be available for purchase. 

27-28: Strange Brewfest, Port Townsend, WA

The 13th annual Strange Brewfest will be held at the American Legion Hall in downtown Port Townsend. This is a two-day indoor/outdoor event. Recent editions of this festival have featured the products of more than 35 breweries and cideries from the Northwest; live music, with a "heavy dose of funk”; a DJ and light show; entertainment, including chainsaw carving and belly dancing; and food for purchase.

28-29: Asbury Park BeerFest, Asbury Park, NJ

95.9 FM WRAT Radio and the Asbury Park Boardwalk present the fifth annual Asbury Park BeerFest, which will take place at Convention Hall. This two-day three-session event will feature a selection of craft beers and ciders, including beer brewed in New Jersey, as well as iconic retro beers served at "Your Old Man's Bar." There will also be live entertainment, including WRAT on-air personalities; food for purchase; and beer sports. Part of the proceeds will go to several local charities.

28: Beer, Bourbon & Barbecue Festival, New York, NY

Trigger Agency, LLC, kicks off the 2017 Beer, Bourbon & Barbecue Festival tour at The Tunnel in Manhattan. The festival will consist of an afternoon "Bacon Bash Tasting Session" and an evening "Whole Hog Pig Pickin' Session," each with unlimited sampling of 60 beers and 40 bourbons. There will also be live bluegrass music; barbecue, Southern specialties, and other foods; and seminars led by master distillers, brewmasters, and pit masters. "Grand Poobah Gator Bait” tickets, with admission to both sessions and a special selection of aged bourbons, are available.

28: Belgianfest, Seattle, WA

The Washington Beer Commission presents the eighth annual Belgianfest, which returns to Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with more than 100 Belgian-inspired beers, including festival specials, from Washington State breweries. Food will be available for purchase.

28: Big Dog's Winterfest, Las Vegas, NV

Las Vegas Weekly presents the Big Dog's Winterfest 2017, which will take place at Big Dog's Draft House in Las Vegas. This afternoon/evening event will feature more than 40 beers. There will also be live music; food, including stews; merchandise for purchase; and a prize raffle. Admission to the festival itself is free. Part of the proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Southern Nevada.

28: Chicago Ale Fest Winter Edition, Chicago, IL

The 2017 Chicago Ale Fest Winter Edition will be held in the Aon Grand Ballroom on Navy Pier. There will be afternoon and evening sessions, each with more than 150 American craft beers. A DJ will spin an all-vinyl playlist, and food trucks will be on hand. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

28: Coralville Brrr Fest, Coralville, IA

The eighth annual Coralville Brrr Fest will be held at the Coralville Marriott Hotel and Conference Center Exhibit Hall. This afternoon event will feature a selection of winter seasonals. Recent editions of this festival have featured beer from more than 40 Midwestern breweries, along with food for purchase. Brewmaster tickets, with early admission and an opportunity to meet the brewers, are available. Part of the proceeds will benefit Coralville's annual “4th Fest” celebration and the Iowa Brewers Guild.

28: Dayton Brew Ha Ha, Dayton, OH

The Montessori School of Dayton will host the seventh annual Dayton Brew Ha-Ha. This evening event, themed “Midwest Versus the West Coast”, is a benefit for the school. It will feature more than 55 domestic craft beers. There will also be live entertainment, a silent auction, and games of chance with beer as prizes. VIP tickets, with a special selection of beers, are available.

28: Ice Cold Beer Fest, Minocqua, WI

The 19th annual Ice Cold Beer Fest will take place on the island in Torpy Park in downtown Minocqua. This afternoon event, to be held under a big-top heated tent, will feature more than 250 craft beers from Wisconsin and neighboring states. There will be live music, and the price of admission includes complimentary food.

28: Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival, Jupiter, FL

The 11th annual Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival will be held at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, the home of the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals. This afternoon event will feature more than 175 craft beers from 50 breweries, including beers brewed in south Florida. There will also be live entertainment and a silent disco. Craftoberfest, "where craft beer meets Octoberfest,” is a free event that takes place in conjunction with the festival itself. Part of the proceeds will go to local charities.

28: Lincoln Square Winterbrew, Chicago, IL

The Lincoln Square-Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce presents the sixth annual Lincoln Square Winterbrew, which will take place at the Dank Haus in Chicago's Lincoln Square. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with 20 locally-brewed beers. On Friday evening before Winterbrew, a VIP food and craft beer pairing event will be held at Architectural Artifacts. Proceeds will support beautification projects in Lincoln Square Ravenswood, along with several local non-profits.

28: North Carolina Rare & Vintage Beer Tasting, Durham, NC

The seventh annual North Carolina Rare & Vintage Beer Tasting which will take place at historic Durham Athletic Park. This afternoon event will feature rare and vintage beers, poured by 50 brewery representatives in an intimate environment. Buffet-style food options and passed hors d'oeuvres will be served. There will also be a brewing demonstration, a “mini food truck rodeo”, and a silent auction. “Imperial” tickets, with early admission, are available. Net proceeds will go to Pints for Prostates.

28: Portland on Tap Craft Beer Festival, Portland, ME

America on Tap presents the third annual Portland on Tap Craft Beer Festival, which will take place at the Cross Insurance Arena. 28: Pure Ludington Brrrew Fest, Ludington, MI

The Ludington Area Convention and Visitors Bureau presents the third annual Pure Ludington Brrrew Fest, which will take place at Ludington Rotary Park. This afternoon outdoor event will feature beer from more than 50 Michigan breweries, along with live music. The festival is a fund-raiser for Friends of Ludington State Park.

28-29: RateBeer Best Beer Festival, Santa Rosa, CA

RateBeer.com presents the 2017 RateBeer Best Beer Festival. The festival itself will take place on Saturday afternoon at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa. It will feature beer from 35 domestic and foreign breweries; and the selection will include rare and one-off beers. Food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets are available for this event. On Sunday, there will be an Awards Ceremony at the Flamingo Hotel, followed by a bottle share open to the public. The festival charity is Ales for Autism.

28: Rhode Island Winter Brew Fest, Pawtucket, RI

The fifth annual Rhode Island Winter Brew Fest will be held at the Pawtucket Armory. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with more than 175 beers from over 55 American breweries; the selection includes Rhode Island-brewed beers. There will also be a food court, and local vendors will be on hand. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Rhode Island Brewers Guild.

28: Rock River Bierfest, Mayville, WI

The Mayville Rotary Club presents the 2017 Rock River Bierfest, which will take place at Mayville Park Pavilion. This late-afternoon event will feature beer from Wisconsin and Midwest craft breweries. There will also be live music; basketball on the big-screen TV; food from area restaurants, artisan cheese makers, and chocolatiers; and a silent auction. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. The festival is a fund-raiser for local charities.

28: Superbrew VIII, New Castle, PA

Superbrew VIII will be held at the Crane Room Grille in New Castle. There will be afternoon and evening sessions, each with more than 50 beers from over 30 breweries; there will also be live entertainment. For corporate sponsors, the VIP Club lounge will offer a special selection of beers, and food to pair with them. The festival charity is American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

30: Brewer's Rock for Rescue Festival, Dillon, CO

The 2017 Brewer’s Rock for Rescue Festival will be held at the Silverthorne Pavilion in Dillon. This evening event, which is a production of the local brewing community, will feature beer from two dozen breweries. There will also be live music, and food will be available for purchase. The festival charity is Summit County Search and Rescue.
